Iâve been a loyal customer of Ye Sushi for over 10 years, since it first opened. Unfortunately, the service has declined significantly. Over the past few months, weâve had repeated issues with incorrect ordersâdespite ordering correctly. Whether itâs due to staff not understanding the menu or simply not caring, itâs become a frustrating experience.
Today, the order was placed in person. When we got home, we discovered it was incorrect again. I called the restaurant, and they confirmed the order had been taken correctly. I advised that my husband is on his way to return with the incorrect meal and to collect the correct meal. I requested a refund due to the inconvenience, especially as it was their mistake and the woman I spoke to agreed to provide a refund.
If this had been a one-off, we wouldnât have minded. But given this has happened several times recently, itâs beyond frustrating.
When my husband arrived, a staff member handed him the correct meal. However, when my husband asked for the refund, the staff member responded rudely, saying, âWell, give back the mealâyou canât have both.â My husband objected, and the situation escalated to the point where he felt so uncomfortable that he left before things got worse. He almost threw the food back at the man in frustration.
I called the store again, but no one could explain why the refund wasnât processed. I was told the manager would call me tomorrowâso weâll see what happens. At this point, I doubt weâll be returning.
That staff member should be dismissed. If this is how loyal customers are treated, I canât imagine how new customers are handled. Arrogance like that will only drive people away.
As shown in my other reviews, I rarely leave negative feedbackâI much prefer to highlight good service and positive experiences. Itâs disappointing to have to write this.
For future customer reference: what was previously listed on their menu as âDonâ or âDonburiâ is now labelled as âRice Bowlâ. As a regular customer who always orders either a donburi or bento, I didnât notice the change. The staff should be aware of this and not act as if the customer is wrong for using common terminology. âRice bowlâ isnât widely known in this context, and itâs not unreasonable to expect staff to know...
Read moreYi sushi located in Beeliar is a clean , well-lighted, and good environment. I have never dined in there; however, I have had takeaway from this place multiple times.
My favourite meal is pork ramen with the pork broth. Another one is cold noodle ( oh, this subdues my nostalgic craving from what I used to eat at my country. In relation to pricing, I think it is undeniably reasonable compared to the products you receive. Their bento is quite nice as well. Only one thing I rather disagree with the bento meals is their side salad. With respect, a few leaves of lettuce and cheap shreds of cabbage and carrots do not cut as a side salad. besides that , I recommend you try their bento. Speaking of which, you might consider asking for the mayo on the side when order meals with mayo because they are very generous with the condiment and I find it too excessive. Both my partner and I love spring rolls but have to say no to yi's spring roll as they are not to our liking. I quite enjoy salman terriyaki bento ( when they saperate the sauce for me becuase I prefer the smaller amount then they generously given)
The staffs are friendly and helpful.
In term of the ambient, there are several booth-sorted of seating which creates the comfort zone and privacy; esp., if you are like me who like to eat without talking and enjoy the flavor of each bite.
They also have some ready-to-go sushi. I bought the California roll today. The price is a tad more expensive than some other similar Japanese restaurant. On their defense though, the were made properly, the rice was perfect, the fillings were delicious. When I get home and finally got to eat my sushi, I found that they included yamagoyaki ( sweet rolled omelette ) in the cariflonia roll. OH... that made my day, I LOVE yamagoyaki :) ....Sorry was too hungry to take picture.
In conclusion, I wish I could give 4.5 stars/ 5 but well...okay now go try and see...
Read moreThis place has been a favourite of mine for a while now. I went on a Tuesday night at around 6:00pm. They have around 6 large tables you can dine at, as well as some single small tables in a corner. The store is accessible by wheelchair or crunches and is around 10m distance from a large car park.
The service here is great. There is a young women who worked on Tuesday, and every time I see her she is always so welcoming. She always has a huge smile on her face, and is always happy to answer my random questions.
In terms of the food and drink itself - both are great. I swear I only waited like 5mins to receive my food, even though they had numerous UberEats orders being prepared at the same time. The drink is always quite sweet, so I would only recommend it to people with a sweet tooth. However, I believe the milk based boba might be less sweet.
Only two of the large tables were taken up, which included the one I was at. It wasnât busy with dine-in customers, but there were a lot of online orders and pickups taking place.
They have a menu, as well as ready-to-pickup sushi in a fridge that you can grab from. They have a huge variety, and yet almost everything on the menu is incredibly affordable.
Keep in mind, the store itself doesnât have a toilet, however, the McDonalds around 50m away has one. This is a bit of a pain but not a reason to not visit...
