Warning: Do not trust the sample cakes provided by My Delicious, they are not a true representation of what will actually be delivered once you have placed your order. You might be able to tell from that comment that I am extremely disappointed in the cakes I purchased from My Delicious for my husband's 40th. The presentation of the sample cakes provided was great, and as a result I believed the cake decorator could easily produce the design I had requested. And in conversations leading up to my placing the order, they lead me to believe they could do even better. How wrong I was. When I came in to pick up the cakes I just stared in shock at how bad they looked. I was embarrassed to serve them. The excuse for the low quality was that it was a big order. I believe this is an unprofessional and ridiculous excuse, given that they had originally quoted for (and were happy to do) an even larger number than what I ended up ordering. At this point I do want to say I appreciate the effort Lyn put in to redo some of the patterns on the cakes last minute. But it shouldn't have been necessary; you should have set an order-by date, contacted me to change the order or just rejected the order outright if you knew you couldn't produce a quality, professional looking product. People at the party admired the cakes and even asked who made them… expecting them to have been home made. No one could believe they were expensive cakes purchased from a professional. Starting with the positives and the reason this isn’t 1 star, Lynn was very helpful and kind offering good advice for making my own cake. However, the other worker was going to charge me an extra $18 for the pan hire until I pointed out the error and then charged me twice for the $20 fondant. I felt like the charge was too much and checked the receipt whilst still in store noticing the error and Lynn refunded me as fast as she could but at that point I had already been waiting a while. The other worker didn’t apologise once, just said “somethings going on today” and asked what the date is. The final reason for my low review despite Lynn’s help is the pan I was charged $9 to rent was rusty and I complained when I dropped it off and was told “I’ll let Lynn know.” Nothing else, I waited a week and a half to write this in case someone would call me and at least apologise. One of the edible images was also a bit blurry but that wasn’t a huge deal, just a slight disappointment. I didn’t find the images myself, they did it for me so perhaps in the future I would look for my own high quality image.

Read moreWell i must say im not coming back to this store the cake was not what we had asked and the sad thing about the order it was all writin down on what we requested and the lady had a bad attitude the amout of money spent on the cake was very disappointing.. i recommend not to get ur cake orders over 300 dollars else where....and she was very rude about it aswell....the cake was very dry aswell and it wasnt made fresh on the day it was a day old and the cake was soo dried out and we wanted a refund and we was not even one had to have police involved and we still didn't receive the full refund she only refunded 50% back even tho the cake didn't look like the picture we sent in and requested and all the conversation on how we wanted the cake...it was very disgusting attitude she had.....we have looked into getting a lawyer involved because she brought the police into it because she didn't want to refund our money and she knew she stuffed it up...a 10 year old child's cake for his party was a disappointment i had to go to the cheese cake shop and get a cake from there for the party as the cake we ordered was so dried out and not what...
