Absolutely amazing! Adventure world is a pleasant meld between a regular theme park like dreamworld on the Gold Coast, and a full water park like wet’n’wild. Nearly all of the rides are unique and awesome in their own way. As there is both dry and wet rides. I highly suggest that visitors complete the dry rides first, but come to the park wearing swimmers underneath so it will an easy transition. - also listed in my tips below I recommend the dry rides like the abyss roller coaster, and the go carts as they can get longer waiting times as the day progresses. Rides like the inferno, Goliath and rampage all had short lines for the whole day as they can get many visitors on per ride. For the wet rides, the kraken is the most popular and has the longest waiting times. Water mountain has several smaller rides that have short waiting times but are extremely fun, I recommend the Rocky Mountain rapids. The water rides to the right of the park are quite fun as well however these have much longer waiting times. For these rides I recommend doing first when you begin doing water rides. The speed slides were my favourite. The kahuna falls is a fun water playground that has no line and you can visit any time.
Overall, Adventure World is fantastic! I loved the awesome rides as well as the uniqueness of the park’s blend of rides. I highly recommend it to anyone with only a few days in Perth as it is something you will remember forever.
For those visiting the park, or those wanting to visit the park. Here are my top tips based off my experience:
I highly suggest that visitors complete the dry rides first, but come to the park wearing swimmers underneath so it will be an easy transition. The kraken is one of a few rides similar to other water parks, so if have been to others like wet’n’wild or raging waters and you’re pushed for time you could probably give it a miss. However it is quite fun and worth the wait if you have not experienced a ride like this before. The skylift is worth a ride if you have completed all the rides you wanted to do. However I probably wouldn’t wait more than 15 mins to get on it. Additionally, once on it, it is very slow and will take a good 8 minutes to get to the other side. Take off all jewellery, and especially watches. For some reason the park dislikes people wearing watches and jewellery on wet rides and will make you leave the watch or jewellery at the top of the ride and have to come and get it after you have finished the ride. I recommend leaving these with a person not going on the ride, or leaving them in a locker or...
Read moreFirst time visit, Most staff were very friendly and very helpful, Hot food available such as pizza, wedges, hot chips, burgers, hot dogs all available, slushies, alcoholic beverages, assorted soft drinks, icecream and more.
Parking was easy and no meters, Entry was fast and easy, with pre paid tickets we bought online, we entered near the car park, if you need to buy tickets, you must enter at the main entrance, we kept mostly to the dragons kingdom area due to height restrictions and experienced Kahuna falls and the big pool 1.2m and 1.6m, all rides were accessible quickly this weekend about 5 mins and my children (6 & 7) got to go multiple times on the Entry ticket value.
My children were also able to access the mat rides slide, which also houses the tunnel of terror and the rapids ride. Be wary of weight restrictions, I am above 90kgs and was unable to even do these rides with my children.
Be sure to check the signs as lines are close together and can be confusing. If you get to the front and you are in the wrong line, the operator sent my child to the back of the line for the ride he wanted.
Be wary of weight and height restrictions. Most rides at this theme park only accommodate two persons at a time, sometimes an adult with a child if child is too short to ride solo. Disappointment will occur if you have an uneven group of adult to children ratio.
Be wary not to have too much jewellery or wear denim. You will not be allowed to ride certain rides.
We didn't take a sun shelter as there were plenty of shady spots to put down our picnic mat, we took an esky with soda drink cans and water bottles, a few snacks however No glass bottles are allowed. No BYO alcohol or food from outside venues. Your own chairs, tables, and children buggys were OK at Entry.
We ate at the Kahuna Cafe and the staff members serving were very friendly.
We saw a few personal gazebo structures erected for a few birthdays, so this seems to be allowed.
Lockers are available for valuables or can be left in your picnic spot at your own risk. However, I carried a wet bag with my children shoes, towels, camera, and wallet around the park with us. Little cubby holes over the park to store loose items until you finish the ride at your own risk. Be wary. There are paved paths so can get very hot in the sun.
Plenty of showers and toilets are very accessible and easy to find right near the main park entrance.
Overall, it was a great day out. We spent 6 hrs there the Park opened 10am -5pm, and we had a...
Read moreWent on New Years Day and booked a poolside cabana which was over $350 including a $125 food and beverage tab. We checked in then had to go to the gift shop to get the tab card. We then had to find the cabana and dumped our stuff and headed to the Kracken. After going on that and a few slides, we headed back and staff had left a card saying they'd missed us and to call for food or anything. We continued to explore the park attractions which were mostly very enjoyable. Around lunch time, I called the number intending to order some food and drinks. These server was very friendly but informed me that we had to book a time to get our food so they don't overwhelm the kitchen. I was told if we had been there when she atrived in the morning, we would have known this. I ordered the food and booked a time an hour later for food delivery. Our drinks came first and then she went to get the burgers. Unfortunately I forgot to order chips so then had to wait in line for 30mins to get some chips. After lunch, we continued to swim and explore the park. There are no toilets close to the poolside cabanas. We did spend a fair bit of time waiting in line for some attractions but overall it wasn't too bad as there seemed to be more little kids there than adults. When we left, I got a coffee and my friends ordered a tub of ice-cream each. We ordered the ice-cream first and then I walked over to the coffee shop and ordered a drink. The server was friendly but after taking my order, spent 5 mins talking and flirting with a maintenence guy before actually making my coffee. I went back to meet my friends who were still waiting for 2 tubs of ice-cream. Seemed to be a lot of blank faced confused teens working and struggling to fill the ice-cream orders. They waited about 15 minutes to get 2 tubs of ice-cream.... Was pretty amusing. Overall we had a good day. Adventure world is Perth's only theme park so there's no need for them to provide excellent services and attractions as there's no competition. But compared to other parks I've been to, it's really a...
