Authentic Chargrill & Kebab — Local services in Brisbane City

I am extremely disappointed with the customer service at this kebab shop. When I arrived to pick up a delivery for Uber, the staff were disinterested and unhelpful. One of them even suggested that I put my phone to my ear, which was unnecessary and annoying. I immediately told him that this wouldn't be an issue and he could continue with his work. Despite this, the staff member continued to make unnecessary and unwanted suggestions, which clearly indicated his frustration with delivery drivers and Indians.

He also told me that I couldn’t speak in my native language in his shop, which I found unreasonable—there’s no reason why I shouldn’t be allowed to use my own language while talking on the phone. His rude and racist behavior persisted throughout the encounter. This kind of conduct is completely unacceptable.

I reported the incident to Uber support, who then escalated the issue to the authorities by reporting it to 000. While I was reporting, the staff member approached me from his shop, trying to provoke me by coming too close, seemingly to start a fight.

Such unprofessional and discriminatory behavior should not be tolerated. I am certain that a business with this kind of racial bias, rude behavior, and poor service will...

TL;DR: In almost 5 years that lived here, this is the best charcoal grill I have ever had.

Fresh, delicious, authentic, clean, cozy and very friendly staff.

Tried mixed grill, very delicious, juicy and tender. This is also the first time that I have actually enjoyed the side salad. Well seasoned, fresh, not the cold / freezing temperatures you get served at other places.

Sweets are also tasty, tried the chocolate pudding and the home made baklava. The sweetness is well balanced.

The owner / staff are very friendly and caring, keep up the good work!

Update: 2021-12-12 Its been more than 6 months we first tried this place and keeps getting better.

Rating went from 4.8 to 5.0 and i wish i can rate it 6.

You know, excellent food a side, I think the team works there are very friendly and makes the overall experience much better than other places where you get treated just like any other "customer", every time I come in i get welcomed with the same excitement and smile :)

I walk past Authentic every other day on the way home from the bus and it always smells incredible & always seems to have people there (which is a great sign). This combined with 4.9 stars had me so excited to try it. It did not disappoint!!

The pros (there are all pros and no cons): • the wraps/bread were so good and really fluffy • the chicken was amazingly seasoned (and cooked when ordered) • the veg was fresh and crispy • chips were perfectly cooked • Kabab was well sauced and not oily • the customer service was great! I was greeted promptly and the lady who served me was so lovey • I love that the wrapped kabab in foil before putting it in the bag to keep everything in • seperate recycling bin which I don't see often in smaller businesses • the place was really clean • the atmosphere was real nice despite being simple - I loved the smooth jazz

All in all, I absolutely loved my experience here from start to finish. Ticked every box (even the ones I didn't know I had) and left me with not a single bad thing to say about it....
