There are items on the menu that say GF that are not gluten free - I recommend anyone who is celiac stay far away from this restaurant. I asked the waitress how they made the filo pie GF and she said that it was a typo on the menu. The cous cous dishes also say they are GF.

I have limited options because I have Crohn’s disease. The waitress did not seem to know much about what was in any of the dishes. I asked if it was possible to make the eggplant dish without chilli and she said yes, so I ordered it. When it came, it had chilli all on the top of it so I mentioned it to the waitress. They took the dish away and came back to ask me if it was an allergy or a preference. This should have been asked initially. I told her that I have Crohn’s disease so it’s an intolerance and I would get very sick if I have more than a small amount. They then brought it back to me and I started eating it. I was a couple of bites in and another waiter came over and told me that there actually is some chilli in the sauce. I decided to continue eating it because it didn’t taste too spicy at first (and to be fair the dish was extremely tasty. There was also nothing else on the menu I could eat unfortunately so it was either eat more of this or nothing) but after about 10 bites, I realised it was spicier than I had initially thought and I didn’t want to risk having a flare up of symptoms and feeling sick so I stopped eating it.

The waiter apologised and said they’d take care of it on the bill, but they ended up still charging us for half the dish. It’s true that I did eat some of the dish but the fact that they messed up so royally and still charged us was pretty unbelievable. it. On top of that, the waiter told off my friend as we were leaving, saying “if it’s something like Crohn’s and not just a preference, you really need to tell us” …. So, if it’s a preference this restaurant thinks it’s ok to ignore the preference and serve people the ingredient they don’t want?! We did tell the waitress that I had Crohn’s and I told her I’d get very sick and they still served it to me with chilli in it. I understand asking if it’s an allergy vs intolerance because of possible traces of the ingredient but they need to train their staff to ask this up front and take it seriously. I feel this restaurant is extremely irresponsible in dealing with food intolerances and potential celiac or other people who could get sick if they come to dine there.

The whole experience was very upsetting. I hope this restaurant doesn’t have anyone who has a serious food allergy coming to dine there. I hope they are able to change their menus to be accurate and train their staff better in future- to both know what’s in the dishes, and take food...

This is clearly a popular place with the locals. We were one of the first to arrive at 8am on a busy Sunday morning in July, for a family breakfast, but within half an hour, the place had filled up. That gave it a fun, lively and energetic ambience, but also made it a tad loud, with the wooden floors, wooden furniture and plenty of glass. But still, it didn’t detract from what turned out to be a pleasant and relaxed birthday breakfast for my wife.

Booking via the website was quick and easy and we received a prompt email confirming our booking, and a further reminder the day before. When we arrived, we were made to feel welcome. Our booked table was ready and waiting for us in a nice spot in the middle of the room. The decor is warm and homely, featuring a tasteful white, blue and brown colour scheme with an interesting wine bottle display on one wall and various pieces of colourful modern art on another.

Our waiter was friendly, polite and attentive. He made sure that everything ran smoothly for us from beginning to end. Orders were promptly taken and the drinks and food came out quickly and in the correct order.

There were four of us, and we ordered a couple of the “brekkie pita boards” ($22 each), the smashed avo toast ($20) and coffees. Serving sizes were generous and the food was fresh and tasty. Everyone enjoyed their meals. My avo toast was quite an ambitious affair, more than I was expecting, with pistachios, dukkah, feta, a few falafel balls and little dollops of jam to sweeten it up. It was all beautifully prepared with love, care and attention to detail, and presented to the table on smart white or brown crockery. Coffees and lattes were perfect.

After our 25% Entertainment discount, we paid $90 for all that lot, including the four breakfasts and six drinks. Fair value, I guess in these inflationary times.

There is a single unisex toilet, which isn’t really enough, especially when it gets busy. It’s an old fashioned affair, in the middle of the dining area that’s been brightened up with colourful tiles above the basin. Apart from that, it’s clean and well provisioned with soap and hand towels.

Naim is on the corner of Collingwood and Hazlewood Streets, with easy and unrestricted parking in the vicinity. We found a spot on the rather steep Hazlewood Street side.

Overall, we had a fab breakfast here and were impressed with the fine food, the fast and efficient service and the casual and relaxed vibe. It’s helpful if you’re a member of “Entertainment” as it’s now called (previously the “Entertainment Book'', but as it’s no longer a book, all electronic, I guess the word book is superfluous) as you’ll get a 25% discount on your bill, up to...

Was very excited to be going to a Moroccan restaurant , and what a huge let down. I can honestly say this was the worst dining experience I have ever had in the 35 years I have been going to restaurants. We asked for 2 glasses of Rose which when they came out, the wine was completely cloudy . ( never seen a cloudy Rose before , so we asked the waitress who then proceeded to tell us that is how it is and you will get use to it ) unusually tasted very powdery so once again we asked the waitress why the wine was like that. Once again no explanation was given although we were asked if we wanted something else to which we replied yes. Then the waitress brought 4 glasses of wine back to the table and proceeded to advise us we may as well drink the powdery wine as we are being charged for it. This left a bitter taste in our mouths but we thought the food would save the day. Wow was I to be completely wrong, I had a chicken dish consisting of , a leg of chicken and 2 pieces of sweet potato which cost me $35. My friends had a fish broth which when the dish arrived at the table was couscous , a few bits of fish on a plate. Where was the bowl I thought it would come in, as a broth we all know consists of a watery substance if some kind. I will not even try and describe the meal my wife ordered , after she tasted it she could not continue and me being a person who loves food thought it could not be that bad so I tried the meal only to have trouble swallowing it Found this restaurant trying to be upmarket , however completely failing in all aspects . If there was a minus score I would have given this restaurant one. Totally...

the ambience at this paddington foody heaven matches the kai. the moment you walk through the door you feel transported to a time where customer service is wrapped around a sense of community, where crew personality and connection is as valuable as the speed of service. the meals here are delicious. as plant based eaters, to be offered a full menu equal to that of carnivores is a rarity (still, alas) and a freakin joy. the clientele seem to be in agreement that we are all there to enjoy our meals and each other. the birthday songs are sung by all, the chatter and hum of conversation, the presence of a wide demographic of diners feels mediterranean and liberating. but for us it is the staff who make it shine and keep us coming back almost weekly for years now. georgia, the sunday floor manager, runs a tight and happy ship. you can see the respect and affection and support between members of staff. it makes for a feeling of comfort and inclusion. we don’t know every one on board but tallulah is a joy: efficient and engaging. and meika has such gentle sunshine about her that we often cry a little when ordering our brunch. we talk about how excited we are to return, almost as much for the interaction with these hospo wahine as for the variety and quality of the menu. well done naïm, for finding humans who create the perfect balance of home and restaurant, professionalism and personal interaction. this place is a gem. an icon. the place to take friends and visitors. always ensure you book ahead and shhhhh. don’t tell anyone…

Best brekky ever, very different and ohhhh so very tasty!!! We we're stuck as taxi dropped us in the wrong street having waited an hour or so for pick up both phone's had gone flat and needed to get all our equipment to site, this cafe was our first stop to see if we could charge our phones atleast and they had charging locations throughout this venue and was more than happy to let us use them without any purchase at all....so we bought a cappa for the great generosity of staff here and was back on track with getting phone charged and making contact with customer I had lined up work with and was already hr late. Looking at menu everything was very different from just getting eggs bacon and toast hahaha as we'd walked up a huge hill with full hands of equipment quickly decided that food is definitely going to be advantageous towards ripping up tiles from someone's floor and went ahead with trying "pitta bread toasted scrambled eggs and bacon with caramelized onions, smashed avo and spinach leafy salad.......freeking WoW that was one of the best breakfast I'd ever "seen" but definitely had in awhile hahaha most energy ever!! We ripped through 16m2 of tiles and grinding in 3hrs!!! Hands down great little place great view on top of the "hills" in Milton! Thanks guys appreciated everything even cutting pitta bread in halves for us 👌😁
