Disappointing Experience at the Market

My visit to this market was frustrating from start to finish. First, finding the location on Google was a hassle, as it led us to the wrong place. Once we arrived, I asked for two tickets, but the staff member kept insisting on selling me three or four before finally giving me the two I needed.

When it was time to pay, he didn’t press the machine correctly, and when I pointed it out, he laughed and said, “Since you’re a woman, it’s your problem.” I couldn’t believe the sexism, and even my friend called him out on it.

Later, I ordered a Vietnamese sandwich for $11. When I checked my payment, I noticed they had charged me $16. When I complained, the staff member gave me the change but then tried to hand me a plate that had clearly been sitting out for over 20 minutes, abandoned by another customer. Of course, I refused to take it, demanded my money back, and left.

Overall, a terrible experience with poor service and unacceptable attitudes. I definitely wouldn’t...

I like the vendors that sell the goods.

However. The Market staff are appauling. Arrived early prior to 0600am as they used to have a rule if you got there prior to 6 to 7am free entry.

Now. I was approached by a market staff person trying to kick me out. Despite not doing anything wrong. Window shopping and they approached us. Market staffer told me and my friend we cant be here before 6am due to the entrance fee.

What disgust to be providing appauling customer service to someone avoiding the parking along with crowds.

Also markets charging a entrance fee. Plenty that dont. This is my first time attending these markets my friend had been a long term customer of these markets. However likely after the poor experience itll be my last. Im all for supporting local businesses however even eat street northshore charge less then what these markets charge and 10x bigger with regards to a entry fee if there is any.

Upsets me the management of the area want to be greedy grubs.

The...

Everything Fruit and Veges can be found at the Brisbane Markets, after all, it is the Hub of all Whosalers in the Fruit and Vegetables Commerce, the distribution centre Brisbane, and most if not all of Queensland.

If you talk about Brisbane Markets, you could also be referring to the "Rocklea Markets" held on weekends for your farmers market on a Saturday. Held between 6am till 12pm.

Support the small businesses their.. Farmers regularly sell their crops and farm fresh. You also have mobile truck food and refreshments. It's been up and down for the stall holders, but tough Market people, are born into this field of sales and marketing. So cmon Brissy, buy a Twirly Potato with chicken salt, or nice coffee for that hit on a Saturday or Sunday morning... or maybe just those odd veges for a casserole or daily meal your going to have... whatever it may be. Visit the Markets at Rocklea. It's been there for decades... just a natural part of the burbs... And a famous...

Seriously overrated market. Don't go here! Continental Breakfast Bar serves burned eggs on roll, their sausages are like paper, half of them are cold or seriously undercooked. Really overpriced! The artesian bread stalls here don't know how to cook their bread, to the point that all stalls and all bread are virtually burned. Then they have the audacity to fob their bread off as premium food while really ripping people off. The fruit markets are not value for money and not even fairly priced. Yes you may get one item at a good price but this is a tactic to get you into their area to buy their other products which are at scandalous prices e.g. $30 for a box of mangoes. I can't believe people fall for this rubbish. And then there is the flower stalls. Do not buy the flowers near the entry, they are old and dying and typically wind burned.

Best fruit and veggies for best prices. Won’t buy fruit or veggies any where else from now on. Also the freshness of the fruit and just can’t be beaten.

The scale is not as big as expected. The entrance fee is $2 per person, and you can also drive in for $6/car. Not enough choice of food. Had average Thai food, great German sausages and Hungarian pancakes and tasty soufflĂ©. There are two large vegetable and fruit stalls, similar to supermarkets, and the prices are slightly cheaper than supermarkets. Oh! You can go buy plants!!Many choices and cheaper here. Overall, since the variety of products is not much, I probably won’t go there again.
