I have been buying plants from Oxley Nursery for so many years. Unfortunately I won’t be returning to this place ever again. The employee was very mean no customer service manners. ( tall lady with a short hair) .my daughter and I were looking for Anako plants. I have photos on my phone. Which I would like to ask someone if they have it for sales. Inside the nursery I only saw one staff who was talking to the couple. My daughter and I waited for 10 minutes then we moved to searching for the plant and hope she will finish with her customer so I can ask her a question. After 10 minutes searching we found Anako. But it a-bit too small. So I really would like to ask staff if they have a bigger plant. The same staff and the same customer were moved to other side and happened to be where I found the plants The staff was talking to someone on a waking talking also with customer. so I waited until she finished a conversion . then I was politely ask if they have anything bigger. The staff said “ that it “with grumpy attitudes and said “I am with the customer “ ???? I was so surprised with her attitudes and then she turned around shaking her head and gossip about me being rude ( I was told by my daughter later when I was in the car.If I have known this I won’t spent any money there at all today)
I really don’t think I have been rude at all. I thought their conversations ended. And my one second question should be ok!! Read morePurchased over 200$ worth of product at this nursery a couple of weekends ago, didn't have any issues with any bar one of the plants purchased, which had root rot from the get go. Called to find out whether I could possibly receive a credit for the 38$ plant- the staff member that had answered my phone call placed me back on hold after I could barely get my name out, was on hold for 8 minutes in total. I explained the issue, to be met defensively with, "our plants have never ever done that before- " and was forwarded onto the manager who had told me to essentially write a page long essay detailing everything that I had ever done to the plant, and expected to take photos the whole process.. I was pretty surprised, not very friendly service at all. Some of the the other stock I had received had fungal gnats, however I didn't bother asking about it considering I know how to treat it. I have seen a couple of other reviews now saying that that's an issue, and wish I had checked the top roots prior to purchasing. They can keep the 38$ and lose any future business...
Read moreI recently purchased over $800 worth of plants and had them delivered. On delivery, I told the driver that three plants we had ordered were not delivered. As we had received no detailed invoice, I asked him to tell the nursery on his return, of the missing plants. I told him that I would go to the nursery and follow it up, when able. My partner yesterday returned to the nursery to follow up on the missing plants and was treated quite disrespectfully by a senior staff member. Treating someone with due respect and maybe trying to listen to what they are trying to say are essential in customer service. Ridicule and put-down are definitely not part of resolving a problem (caused entirely by the nursery). We had paid for the plants and they were not supplied.
Needless to say, we will not be buying any more plants from this nursery, no matter what knowledge and experience with plants...
