Canberra Garden & Nursery is an okay spot for plants and gardening supplies, but it has its pros and cons. The selection of plants is fairly good, with a mix of natives, flowers, and indoor plants. Some sections are well-stocked, but others can be hit-or-miss depending on when you visit.

The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, but they’re not always easy to find when you need help. Prices are a bit on the higher side, especially compared to other nurseries or big hardware stores. That said, the quality of plants is generally decent.

We only had a short time to pop in and choose some fruit trees, but we’re so glad we did! Govinda was so helpful and full of good advice on which trees would suit our needs, and the prices were so reasonable we came away within our (modest) budget with a super selection of really healthy looking trees. Our boys were entranced by the doves wandering around and the staff were happy for them to play with them and enjoy the surroundings.
