I went into this fine establishment today for a meal that was healthier than the maccas, kfc alternatives close by as I am trying to lose a little weight. I choose a pre cooked meal, which are honestly always great and I hummed and hurred about which one I should choose. Meanwhile the Indian lady was watching me like a hawk, then after a little bit a lady comes out from the kitchen and asks to search my bag while I'm still waiting for my meal to heat up. I hadn't even got to the register by that point and was rather bemused that they seemed so sure I was a was a shoplifter that they didn't wait until after I had paid for my food. The best thing about the IGA Xpress is that is open at 5am and closes late at 11pm. You can always get something there.

I've never been that big a fan of IGAs because I often feel they serve substandard fresh fruit and veggies and their prices are higher than the big brands like Woolworths and Coles. But I will say this, they are improving a lot.

Went there yesterday and the guy serving us charged 24.95 for a bag of green seedless grapes. Add this to the list of complaints about these guys overcharging. Management should do an audit to see if there is a pattern of overcharging followed by cash refunds after the customer departs. It could also be systemic across several cashiers.
