Probably the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced when trying to plan an event. I am extremely disappointed and will not be using your venue! I called twice yesterday asking to speak with a venue manager about availability for an event in the new year and what you guys could potentially provide. Literally just wanted to run through a couple of dietary requests and go ahead with a restaurant booking followed by cocktails etc etc.

The extremely rude, snobby and somewhat argumentative person I spoke to REFUSED to let me speak with your venue manager unless I divulged specific details about why I wanted to speak with a venue manager.. very defensive and very odd… for no reason. I then went on to explain we’re organising surprise party and I’d like to talk about it with a manager. Again, I was told word for word, “I will not be putting you on the phone to a manager unless you tell me EXACTLY why” She said exactly that, word for word, multiple times. This went back and forth for about 5-10 minutes until I just gave up… this girls attitude was extremely defensive and rude. Why have management when your just going to let snobby barmaids scare customers away with a rude know it all attitude and a strange amount of defensiveness when it comes to a request to speak with a manager on duty. Some bad things must have happened in there for this person or their manager to be so fearsome of a phone call/booking. Not everybody wants to book online without asking questions.

We are very taken back with this girls rude attitude and lack of interest in this potential booking. I have never experienced something like this.. just completely shut down our plan.. We are very involved with venues around Mandurah and are part of a large social/sporting network throughout the peel region. And cobblers is now no longer on our list of venues.

Goodbye,...

In a word " disrespectful"

Christie the Manager managed to ruin our mothers day outing with her rude manner and unwillingness to compromise and work with the clientele. I only wish I knew the name of the barmaid serving us as she was nothing but helpful and polite.

How many menus does a pub need? We had arrived a cobblers for a mothers day outing and understanding that the restaurant was fully booked we were quite happy ordering form the bar. While ordering our first drinks we selected 2 menus from the bar menu holder.

When we returned to place our order we were advised that we couldn't order a mixed plate of oysters as the kitchen or tills were not set up for this. secondly we wanted to order a chicken parmigiana which we were again told we couldn't as this menu was from the sports bar and if we wished to order it then the person eating it would have to go into the sports bar to eat it!

Firstly if the menu was not available from the bar menu holder we wouldn't have even known about that menu. What upset me more than anything was the managers unwillingness to compromise on their mistake by serving 1 chicken parmigiana. We are not holiday makers we are locals and cobblers has now lost 5 local families and due to our treatment I will be advising as many people of the disgraceful service we received from and I quote "the Manager Christie" not the bar staff they were exemplary in there service and need to be commended for working with that kind of management from my perception. Please note when I discussed my issues with Christie she did offer and explanation of wait times, technical difficulties and the fact the chef wouldn't do it. I found none of these acceptable as it was 1 parmigiana asked to be served on the other side of the wall and 1 plate of oysters requested to be served mixed. Very Poor...

Update from previous review: Came in today 03/10/24 for lunch despite having not so great experiences in the past. Unfortunately food wise it really wasn’t any better. The only decent meal to come to the table was my husbands parmi. I myself had the vegan burger which was clearly deep fried. Why you would deep fry a vegan “beef” burger is beyond me. It also only had maybe a teaspoon of aioli on it which with the deep fried patty made it very dry to eat. One of my daughters had the normal beef burger which she said was very average. The worst was my other daughter’s kids pasta meal. The pasta was so overcooked that it fell apart. The sauce literally tasted like raw tin tomatoes. It was inedible. In the end we all gave her our chips just so she had something to eat. The service of the food was very slow so there was no point ordering anything different for her. We did let the staff know that the pasta was awful. Unfortunately after yet another bad experience we won’t be back. Which is a shame since it’s so close to home and used to be a great place to go.

Used to be a great place to go to. Unfortunately it seems since it’s been taken over it’s gone very downhill. Says the kitchen is open till late, which it isn’t, shuts 9oclock on the dot. Our cocktails were nice but very overfilled which made them spill everywhere on the table. The bar is using Woolies brand soda water in drinks and other bottled drinks such as Pepsi. Seriously not what you expect when you pay a dearer price going out to have a drink. Wanted to order another cocktail before we left and was told cocktails were now closed despite the time being 9:45 and the board says 10pm cut off for cocktails. Staff were niceish enough but could smile more. Probably won’t return in a hurry unless it improves...

Cobblers Tavern has never disappointed us. We’ve been several times over the years, and it’s become our go-to spot when family and friends come to visit. It’s certainly worth the 20-minute drive — the food, service, and overall vibe make it one of the most reliable and enjoyable taverns in the area. On our most recent visit, I had the grilled prawns — they were fresh, perfectly seasoned, and cooked just right. We also ordered the prime rib, which is always a favorite, and once again it was served beautifully medium rare and full of flavor. You can really tell the kitchen takes pride in consistency and quality. The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, with a spacious layout that doesn’t feel cramped even when it’s busy — and yes, it can get quite busy, especially on weekends or evenings, so it’s worth calling ahead or booking a table online to avoid a wait. Parking has never been an issue for us, which is another bonus. All in all, Cobblers continues to be a solid dining choice we’re happy to recommend to locals and visitors alike.

We recently visited Cobblers in Mandurah as a group of four, and the experience was mixed. We are locals and like to support local. All of us opted for chicken palmy meals, and while they were decent, they didn’t stand out—just average overall. The highlight of the meal was definitely the Holy Kurumba sauce, which we’d rate a solid 5/5. On the drinks side, we ordered cocktails via the app, but only two arrived initially. We had to show our bank account transactions to prove payment and get the missing drinks, which was a bit frustrating. The Pornstar Martini came with a shot of prosecco on the side, which was a unique twist—different from what we’re used to but interesting nonetheless, maybe lack of actual cocktail glasses. Overall, a so-so experience with some standout elements but a few hiccups that left us wanting a smoother night out. Mandurah good food is getting hard to come by

Nice place, staff is really friendly. However, the promotion about the chicken parmigiana on Thursday is not clear in the advertisement, website or the pass/whats on, and I couldn't buy because it is after a specific time. So, I paid full price instead as they said it is Thursday, so it means it is only in the evening. Also, I asked for low gluten-free, but the tortilla came cold, and they didn't heat up a little bit. The fried chicken was fine, not complaint. It is ok
