Exotic Asian Grocery — Local services in Gold Coast City

One of my favourite shops in Harbour Town with a great variety of Asian produce . Fresh , frozen , dried , preserved , caned , then there's sauces , spices , herbs from the greater Asian region . Malaysian, Thai , Chinese , Vietnamese plus more ingredients for basic dishes , thru to the exotic. Cooking utensils, clay pots , woks etc as well as an array of serving dishes , bowls , tea cups and so on . One thing you'll notice right away when entering is the fragrances of asia . Helpfull and pleasant staff at your service . Really could spend hours just perusing which is excactly what I would suggest if you haven't been before , just spend some time going from isle to isle and familiarize yourself with what's available, but I wouldn't be suprised if you end up with a purchase of some type by the time you leave the shop . I have come here often. I have always been served by a lovely young gentleman at the counter. On the 1st of December 2018 at 2.15 pm I was served by a rude women. She asked if I wanted a plastic bag I said no and gave my own bag, like I have done before. She refused to pack my bag. Piled my items and pushed them to the corner. I asked if we pack our own items now, she looked at me for a second then ignored me. There were so many things on the counter, I didn’t know if I took all my items. Picked up a jar of made sports coconut from Philippine made shelves. I was being charged $7.00 for the item. It was priced at $5.99 on the shelve. I went back to re checked and informed the lady at the counter. I even asked her to check the price herself. She just arrogantly stated “that’s the price we have on our check out list” and just dismissed. So left the item with her to check so maybe they would have the priced sorted out next time. On my way out, another customer commented that he had the same experience few times so now carefully checking the prices. Today, he had to return a packet of pork crackling as it was over priced.
