Yum Cha Cuisine Harbour Town — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

SERVICE Im giving a 3 star because of the service my partner and I received 2 nights ago. walked in got a seat straight away (mind you we have been here before) love the food ! the manager I believe told us it may be a little wait on taking our order, but we had to wait about 15 minutes to even order a drink.... I understand it is busy but maybe hire more staff that's ridiculous in my eyes. finally a staff member came over to take our order, we had a few orders I also asked for water (which never came) I actually had to ask 3 times for water.... then my partner and I asked for the sauce that goes with the pork dumplings and the lady had no idea what we were talking about .... come on! you work there you should know what sauces and dips go with what... also had to ask for that twice. no-one cleaned our plates off our table throughout the night. we were sitting there with empty plates till the moment we left. which is quite appalling considering how much food we ordered. the price is pretty ridiculous definitely should be cheaper. at the end of our dinner I asked for a take away container and waited 10 minutes at the table and it never came.... I had to then go ask the manager for one. then to find out the containers were located literally in a storage cabinet almost right next to where we were sitting!!! just a little advice for your business to pass onto your staff. if someone asks for something please do it immediately this happened far too many times for 1 sitting. very disappointing service for the price you pay. manager (male) at the front desk is very lovely very accommodating. but all the other staff members are half asleep and need to seriously focus and concentrate when customers are asking for something. Other than that I can't complain about the food it was delicious really yummy. we will be back but hope the service can...

Today 20 June 2020 After easing of restrictions. Finally enjoying yum cha at h/town. So busy but still excellent service and cleanliness. Thank you to Stella and the team.😊 14 Dec came for brunch again. Always lovely service and attention to detail by Chloe and Stella always welcomes customers with a warm smile. Thank you both. Tried steamed rice noodle with scallops today with my usual chicken feet in black bean sauce and prawn and duck dumplings 🥟 Oolong tea to cleanse the palate 😊👍🍵 (23 Nov) had brunch. This is now my fave yum cha on the Gold coast!

Service is always excellent. Chloe is especially commended for her attention to detail as is Stella for always welcoming customers with her friendly smile.

I had Asian greens, chicken feet, steamed prawn and duck rolls and finished with Mango pancakes. Had oolong tea throughout the meal. Great for family, small groups or on your own😊 Third visit today (Wed 13 Nov). Ordered chicken feet in black bean sauce, beef tripe again. Also ordered prawn in rice noodle. Great service again. Chloe again was attentive to my requests. Second visit and ordered chicken feet in black bean sauce, beef tripe, wanton soup and Asian. So delicious and full. Great service. First time. Served by Chloe who was very attentive. Excellent yum cha food which is served throughout the day so this is an added advantage. Thank you for delicious food and the jasmine tea was hot and great...

Where to start. My standards are (if you’ve ever been there) GOLDEN CENTURY In Sydney. Came here to the Chinese restaurant in harbour town in September with my family of 7 and we where seated inside but literally at the exit door. The aircon was hitting us in there face so I asked if we could be moved but they said no they were fully booked out, I looked around and only 2 tables full. We ordered, full size duck with second course (lettuce cups/ sung chow boaw) sorry don’t know the Chinese spelling of it) which arrived and it took the server 10mins to carve with a blunt knife. We ordered honey chicken, Mongolian lamb, seafood basket w noodle chilli chicken stir fry and 2 x fry rice which we made sure had no bacon but replaced with prawn and they arrived with bacon (had to wait again for a redo). I understand every one has their own style of cooking but nothing here tasted good, especially the cold duck. Equally as disappointing was the service, Every time I asked for more sauces/ drinks/ cups I was inconveniencing them, they were over staffed but no one stayed near our tables to assist us. We dinned for 2 hours and I swear to you no one else came and the restaurant was empty and I really wanted to get mad at them not moving us to another table. I paid $275!! And I left with no staff to say thank you, no fruit at the end, no one at the door to say bye come back… nothing!! I cried in the car! That I had wanted to take my family to a what I thought would be a great Chinese restaurant and what a total disappointment. Will never be back…. Please remember what service is guys it’s...
