That was gross. I have a mega sweet tooth and I couldn't eat this stuff. I call it stuff because it isn't actually fudge. Its made with vegetable oil and emulsifiers. It tastes like powdered custard.
Reply: Thanks for the snarky reply. That kind of tone makes me not feel bad for writing a scathing review. When was the last time your fudge won an award? I would guess it was some time before you changed your recipe. 20 years of making "fudge?" How many of those years have you been cutting corners to save a penny? "American style fudge"? Fudge was invented in America. I feel like a fudge maker should know that. And in America it is made with milk butter and sugar. Not vegetable oil and emulsifiers. You only use natural flavors? Well Soy lecithin has a natural flavor so does palm oil and they taste like what is wrong with your fudge. Its the same flavor that tells me custard came from a box and wasn't made with love. In America you can get sued for calling this stuff fudge. In fact that very thing happened with "Keebler Fudge Stripes." I feel like you've never even had real fudge. Its supposed to be crumbly and gritty. You should feel the sugar crystals crushing between your teeth. Yours is smooth and rubbery and a little greasy. It isn't fudge. Its like some chocolate milk confection that doesn't have a name... and it shouldn't have a name because it shouldn't be eaten or even made... because...
