Mermaid Take Away — Restaurant in Hobart

I have got food from here many times, but on the 24 July 2024, i got some potato cake, fish and a chicko role. First off the guy who served me has a massive frown on his face and almost seemed annoyed he had to serve me, the fish was awful, grey inside and uncooked to the point I had to throw it out, the potato cakes were raw inside so all of them had to be thrown out, the chicko roll was also cold and undercooked. Huge let down. I then had to Uber subway for lunch. YOU CANNOT SELL UNDERCOOKED FOOD!

I went back today the 24.9.2025. I got a few potato cakes and they were all RAW AGAIN! shame on you guys....I dont want to hear that you're busy,...

Had a great potato cake and decent burger. Dim sim was pretty average.

Would be 5 stars but it's slightly on the expensive side for a takeaway shop. They conveniently don't have prices anywhere so you only find out when they put it in the register.

Mermaid's is the best takeaway shop I have ever been to. Even though it is always full of customers (because the food and staff are amazing), you never have to wait longer than a few seconds before you are being served by a smiley staff member. I buy the roast lamb meal. The meat is so tender you could use a spoon to eat it and...
