IGA East Altona — Local services in Melbourne

Not happy with the customer service, there is one young lady always pleasant and polite which the rest of the staff could learn from, the manager is not pleasant to me, quite rude, disputed when l asked for 2 bags for my items, saying l should get a buggy, which l forgot, l have bad health and carrying one heavy bag is hard for me, he never says hello to me, makes a point of greeting others by name, been going there for nearly 2 years but now only go there when l have to, l hope another supermarket opens up near me soon as it is very upsetting, today went there, cashier put my groceries all in one bag, including a heavy bottle of disifectant, l asked for anpther bag, she looked atvthe other cashier, l left upset again, also check your docket have been overcharged 3 times, not a happy customer, l wish there was...

My experience at this IGA today was incredibly disappointing and distressing. I witnessed an elderly lady accidentally drop her walking stick, which knocked over two bottles of alcohol. Which let me tell you that shop is a big mess to begin with!! Instead of offering support or understanding, the staff made her feel like she had committed a crime. They made a big scene about the spilled bottles and completely ignored the old lady's obvious distress. The woman behind the counter reacted inappropriately, screaming loudly and adding to the chaos rather than calming the situation. It was a horrible first-time experience, and I cannot recommend this store unless you want to risk being embarrassed and treated unfairly for a simple mistake, which is...
