Star Pizza & Pasta — Restaurant in Melbourne

I have been coming here for many many years 20 plus years. BUT today I was disappointed- shocked, because the owners changed :( WHERE DID THEY GO? I have been going there for the food quality, their amazing caring service and their friendly welcoming faces! How come they didnt mention anything when I was there last ( I am lefted puzzled) Today the new people didnt explain anything. I wasn't the only person shocked, every family that came in for dinner with their families were just as shocked and curious...this will be the last time I go there. Why? I travel 40mins to go there. If I knew before hand I wouldn't have gone. It's not worth the drive or cold, lazy service. As for the new people taking over. Your food quality is okey. But you need to IMPROVE on the presentation of the food and not be lazy to bring out customers menus, sauces, utensils. Thats your job not ours ( so don't give bad looks and roll your eyes.) One more thing: SMILING doesnt cost much and it wont hurt to look at your waiting customers to expalin you wont be long instead of making them wait 10mintues before attending to them. We ordered from here after a number of years and it had always had terrific high quality pizzas with generous toppings.This time we are very surprised and disappointed as we’d taken them to our family also. I’d also asked in their comments for half without olives but the toppings were so minimal that you couldn’t tell, and looked like note wasn’t read. These were ‘gourmet pizzas!’ Their order system on line doesn’t allow for adding or removing toppings. They were also expensive. Won’t be returning. Only good point was the delivery was on time. Have been to this place few times before, food was amazing service was super friendly and care for customers, on this occasion have not been for a while so decided to pop in for a bite only to find under new owners, store was open told would be about 25mins for ovens to be ready they’ve just opened, only to come back only pizza available but we wanted to order food from main meals menu, tables were dirty, floor was greasy shoes sliding from the floor definitely not a pleasent visit miss the old management definitely would not recommend or come back.
