I have been cooking since I was 12 years old. Culling my own meat and cooking since I was knee high to a grass hopper. After leaving/selling up the farm, this place has the best cuts goin round.

They are incredibly pricey, you get what you pay for. Quality cuts, 💯 good butcher, respectful to the buyer and also cuts off before weight. Good men.

My only criticism, after buying specialist cuts. I enjoy hot smoking meats.. and this is my criticism, if I ask to have a cut of baby back ribs, i would not like to be pointed to a throw away product sold at $22 a kilo. What I would rather is the knowledge to what an actual baby back is.

Now, verbally I explained what i wanted, after the butcher presented a cut I was not too enthused about, I decided to accept “his version” of the meat I wanted. (I can cook so I wasn’t displeased however its not the cut I wanted)

My only knock On this joint is.. If you ask for a cut they should first know what a cut is and secondly, not serve you up what they think that cut is!

I’ll be in again. We can negotiate prices if you believe i am wasteful, I will make you cut up pigs, steers and sheep if you think im piss...

Growing up in the area my dad (Peter Fester) was a boner at Borthwicks meat works in the 70’s-80’s , so I grew up with the highest quality cuts of meat at home. But!! Nothing comes close to the taste, quality & variety of these guys cuts of meat. The different meats and chicken in marinades are exceptional. When we try something new we all are blown away.
