Shri Ram Groceries — Local services in Melbourne

I am their customer for last over year and a half. I have experienced a good amount of their quality of service going down hill. I would say that my customer experience is not so good at this store. There is ambiguity over the prices of the goods, discounts mentioned on the goods and further more at times staff would argue over the discount they do for shopping over $50 as per their own policy. I would like to ask the owners of the shop that why do you make such policies that your staff needs to argue on to defend the applicable discount payable. This grocery store has issue with absence of proper and detail price label, price gouging and un-friendly staff. for Every time I have visited this grocery, I have troubles finding price label for each items. When i asked the staff for couple of times, they have said price higher than what mentioned on the items. Additionally, price in these store is higher than other indian groceries nearby. For instance, one time i found same kitchen queen basmati rice (20kg) $10 higher in this store than other nearby. Which was ridiculous and price gouging. Its a great place to find mostly all indian stuff, even frozen rotis, parathas and naan but there are no prices mentioned for most of the products so you just have to ask for it which is kinda time consuming. If you are planning to pay through card then there is a particular limit after which they accept card, I dont usually carry cash with me so it was a problem for me but luckily my friend had some so we got the stuff but if you are planning to go there, better take cash with you.
