Indian Accent Cuisine — Restaurant in Melbourne

On 12 November we visited Indian Accent located in 254 Broadway, Reservoir ✨ a short walk away from the Reservoir station 🚞

We got: 🥭 Mango Lassi Jug This was creamy, fresh, not too sweet perfect to calm the tongue if you have spicy curry! 😂

🟠 Pani Puri Best entree ever! We’re obsessed with this and will always get some whenever we can. This dish was presented beautifully and it’s fun to make our own pani puri bites.

🍗 Half Tandoori Mix Grill Great selection of tandoori chicken & lamb. Each pieces were seasoned well and the char gave great smoky flavor! The dips were so delish too and perfectly complemented the meats.

🥩 Goat Curry This was the G.O.A.T if you get what I mean 😉 Very flavorful curry, perfect be soaked up with rice or naan (which we did!). The goat meat had a good balance of softness & chewiness.

🍚 Coconut Rice and 🫓 Garlic Naan These are the perfect sides to any curries or tandoori meats!

🍨 Dessert Platter A great selection of the classic desserts: Pista Kulfi + Gulab Jamun + Rasmalai. Each item was incredible and if we could, we’d have one platter each! 😂 The sweetness level was perfect and portion was good too. We’re so obsessed with Gulab Jamun and Rasmalai that we thought of having bulk of them in our fridge at home 😂

Overall, the place was simple & elegant and the food was amazing! The staff was friendly but it’d take this place to the next level if they’re a bit more attentive to each table. Definitely recommend you to try and...

Indian Accent is a newly opened restaurant in Reservoir serving a range of homey Indian comfort foods. We picked a couple classic dishes and rolled out of there by the end of it with leftover curries in tow (tasted even better the next day).

No doubt every dish was packed with explosions of flavours, dahi puri and just-fiery-enough lamb vindaloo especially our favourites. This is my second time having dahi puri and I would have it as a starter for every meal if I could. I'm partial to it than its twin with flavoured water..

🥛𝐃𝐚𝐡𝐢 𝐏𝐮𝐫𝐢 - creamy and refreshing! Mildly spiced potato, mint and tamarind chutneys topped with yoghurt and sev (crunchy noodles) 🍗𝐓𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐨𝐫𝐢 𝐌𝐢𝐱 𝐆𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐥 - we opted for the assorted 5 pc - charry and tender chicken was the best 🐔𝐁𝐮𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐧 - can't go wrong with a classic! 🍚𝐁𝐢𝐫𝐲𝐚𝐧𝐢 (𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐞𝐧 𝟔𝟓) - this looked small but it was a large portion with very generous amount of fried spice battered chicken pieces 🌶️𝐋𝐚𝐦𝐛 𝐕𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐨 - tender lamb chunks, rich and heavily spiced with red chillies and vinegar 🫓𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝐆𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐍𝐚𝐚𝐧 - every curry needs papadums for dunking and naan to scoop up the sauce with, right? 🥭𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐨 𝐋𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢 🧂𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐋𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢
