The Corner Butcher — Local services in Morley

Would give 0 stars if I could. I used to visit this butcher regularly. Yesterday, I ordered 4 lamb cutlets, but by accident, they gave me someone else’s order. It was a massive inconvenience, as I live 20 minutes away in Ellenbrook, but I thought I'd just go get a replacement the next day, no worries. So, I drove down from Ellenbrook to request a replacement. After explaining what had happened, they wanted to charge me a $5.99 difference in the weight of the 4 cutlets they grabbed. This is terrible customer service. Ruined my dinner the night before, then inconvenienced me by making me come all the way back for a replacement, and now you want to charge me a $6 difference for your mistake? The staff member I spoke to rolled her eyes when I asked for a refund instead and offered no apology. What a joke. I've also received meat from this place that was off after just a day or two on multiple occasions, but I still came back. There are much cheaper and better quality butchers out there. Likely the best butcher I've been to. Fantastic quality of meats, great sausages, really interesting pre prepared meat items (marinated etc), friendly service and decent prices for the quality. Just cooked up the best slab of pork ribs I've ever found in Australia. Can be a bit of a wait on the weekend given how popular they are and the size of some orders they process, but definitely worth it. And I'm not sure what some of the reviews are referring to in terms of price and service. Prices on everything in the cabinet are clearly displayed and they weigh the items in front of you. We’ve been coming to this butcher ever since it opened and have never been disappointed. Excellent, friendly customer service and simply superb quality meat. Our favourite butcher (with the peaked cap and who also always asks about my running) always offering suggestions and happy to go the extra distance to get me exactly what I’m after.
