I ordered a Raspberry Pi 5 kit and some extra items to make an ADSB tracking station. My order was shipped quickly and I got a number of emails keeping me in the loop along the way. I’ve already put everything together, configured and updated it, installed and configured ADBS feeders for three services, and I can ssh and VNC in from my “real” computers. I’m delighted. Oh to have had this back when I was doing engineering in the 90s!

I ended up with some parts I didn’t need this time round (extra heatsinks were unnecessary because I bought the dedicated CPU cooling fan which comes with a big one, and the fan built into the case is not needed for the same reason. But I will keep them and find a new use for them in a future project. I suspect I’ve bought an overkill system for the ADBS feed job, but now I get to find other uses for all the extra power. Or maybe I’ll buy another smaller one, and then use this one for something more exciting.

Either way, you guys did a great job. Communications were excellent, tips and tricks for getting started were easily available on the Core website… I’m a very happy customer, and I’m sure...

I had a great experience, & highly recommend. The site was pretty easy to navigate & find what I wanted (even as a first-time tinkerer with no real knowledge of what I’m doing), & the delivery was quite fast considering one item I wanted needed to be back-ordered - but that was flagged very prominently during checkout, & they gave me the option of either having the items shipped separately or waiting for that one item to arrive & then have them shipped together. I really appreciated having the delayed delivery timeframe be so upfront, & of having the choice of splitting the delivery or waiting for the restock. I opted to wait - but even with the expected delay the parcel still arrived faster than expected, so that’s always a plus. And I also got an email from Graham the day it arrived, just checking to make sure it’d arrived ok & everything was good - & it’s really nice, & reassuring that if there had been an issue I’d be able to talk to a human person rather than the increasingly ubiquitous robot menu tree. It seems like a small thing, but it does make a big difference. So I will gladly shop here...

Was looking for Raspberry Pi and went through this store on a recommendation from a friend.

Price: the parts I wanted were 20-25% cheaper than anywhere else I looked, including online specialty electronics stores and large retailers. 5/5

Delivery: I ordered after Christmas and the order arrived prior to New Years. The parcel was posted with a tracking number about 4 working hours after I placed the order. I didn't spring for extra fast delivery or anything either. Really excellent, considering it's peak online shopping time of year. Nowhere else estimated a delivery even close to this fast. 5/5

Catalogue: excellent selection, and they didn't seem to be having any stock shortages, which a lot of other places seem to this time of year. Also, the site is nicely organized and has a well-made search function, which I really appreciate. I find a lot of specialty stores are really lacking in that aspect. 5/5

All in all, I'm really happy with this retailer. Definitely going to be my go-to for electronics...
