I’ve been to banjos quite a number of times and up until a couple of months ago I was really happy with banjos but on one occasion I checked if three were permitted at A table and was told yes. Then there were three people sitting at some of the tables in the shop but my friends and I were told that we would have to leave because there were three of us at our table, we were still distanced properly for Covid regulations. While we’re at the shop that day we had noticed that none of the tables have been cleaned in between different groups of people coming and going from the tables. For a matter of two months or thereabouts I didn’t turn back up at banjos because it heard from other people that rules seem to change according to who was behind the counter so I found myself going to another place in Glendale which I found really good. Due to the fact I have friends that meet at banjos I have been back there recently and found they seem to have a better understanding of the rules and cleaning of tables in between guests however I have also found that many other places are better at looking after the Covid issues. Having said all this and I’m guessing people will complain about the length of my review I have to say that their food and their service is otherwise quite good and their prices are pretty reasonable. I’m happy to go back there constantly whatever they still have the good food and service and follow the Covid rules and treat...
Read moreThis is one of my favourite bakeries, I go here often, the food is delicious. I begged my husband to take me here yesterday and I've never been so disappointed. Your staff were flustered, they needed help and looked at times like they were going to snap at one another. The girl who served me was doing her best but seemed new, I had a lot of patience and hope she gains confidence. I was served, after waiting for a long time and I told my husband it was worth our wait. I paid and waited. I saw the staff talking for 5 minutes, they put up a sign that said what I ordered was out of stock and THEN came over to tell me I had to be refunded my whole order, why did I wait and get told after they had time to make a sign and argue about it? Anyway they explained I had to be refunded in whole as they can't refund a singular item and purchase again what was in stock to feed the kids. I paid a second time for my food and coffees. I stood at the same spot and after a short while my coffees were handed to me, everyone confused on why I was still there asked what I wanted, I had to tell them I still hadn't been given the 3 pies I paid for not once, but twice at this point.
I finally received my food and was able to leave very disappointed in what is my favourite cafe. I recommend to everyone usually but am now slightly wary after the ordeal...
Read moreI drive 2 hours for this place after visiting Banjos in Redcliffe myself and my child were over the moon we had one in NSW! We decided to take the drive yes! We drove that far just for this place that's how good Redcliffe was. We got there and I spoke to a worker about possibly buying some frozen so I could take them home, they explained that I could but they needed to be kept frozen, I said no problems I'll be back. I went and brought an esky, I brought ice and came back, at this point I was questioning how much I was willing to spend in order to take these pies home. Anyway. I went back in to buy them and I was told no they need to be ordered 24 hours in advance, I explained I was told yes just before and I just went out to get an esky and ice and I would come back and that I have driven 2 hours just for this. Etc etc. I was told no again and they would need to be ordered in advance even after explaining I was told yes and I had spent money on an esky etc etc.
Anyways. Long story short. Banjos has lost my business, if someone was so dedicated to my bakery that they would drive 2 hours in the heat for it I would have done anything for that kind of commitment. Never again will I visit them or support them in anyway.
Also Recliffe Banjos is 100% better in the taste, service etc
So very disappointed to say...
