I left a bag of shopping behind after paying for it last week, called the shop as soon as I realised it was missing to tell them I’d be in ASAP to get it - right before realising I had a severe tummy bug & couldn’t go anywhere for a few days. They put all my things back on the shelves to resell AFTER I called to confirm I was picking up. “I’m just following store policy, it’s the rules”. Last I checked it’s illegal to sell other peoples belongings, and I was at the front of the store just before opening today, but the person answering the phone did not come out to check near the registers for the bag, she just denied knowing anything about it.
