Seabourne Distillery — Local services in Noosaville

I visited Seabourne as part of a group of gentlemen celebrating the upcoming nuptials of a dear friend on Saturday 3 August 2024. Our experience could best be described as "frosty".

Upon entering and taking our seat at the bar, the heads of staff and patron alike turned hither, eyes brimming with a mixture of shock and disgust like we were the Three Amigos entering the saloon in full mariachi regalia.

My mouth hung open at the expensive rows of gin behind the bar. My slack-jawed face no doubt fuelled the imagination of staff who only saw a dumb barbarian Gaul gaping at the majesty of Rome right before I sacked it, stealing what I could carry and burning the rest.

Service by one or two of the staff was professional, to their credit, but the rest wanted none of it. The proverbial straw that broke the camel's back was when one of the colder staff took an unsolicited photo of us all lined up at the bar. No doubt she was champing at the bit to pass it to the local constables in case we turned out to be naught but uncouth knaves ready for a brawl.

How dare we disturb this patch of paradise with our presence. How dare we, tourists, bring and spend our money here, a public drinking establishment in a tourist town. Visions of the manager coming to say "We don't serve your kind here" swirled around my head like wraiths judging me for my inadequate class status. We made our exit after a single round, never to return, doubtless to the delight of those therein.

We (4 adults) had an absolutely fantastic experience at this gin distillery! The level of craftsmanship that goes into their gin production is truly remarkable. Their products are of the highest quality and infused of local botanicals. Furthermore, the staff was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about their craft.

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and enthusiasm. Dylan took the time to explain the distillation process in detail, answering all our questions with patience. His enthusiasm was contagious, making the visit not just educational but also incredibly enjoyable.

The attention to detail in both the production process and customer interaction was truly commendable.

Their expertise was impressive, and they were able to make personalized recommendations based on my preferences. I must say, this was easily the highlight of my night and it was only the first stop!
