I have been to Gem’s a few times, no issues with the competency or the work they put in, i arrived today for my 11:15am appointment, which i originally booked online for a fully head of foils and all over colour, due to me being unhappy with my colour - this hadn’t been done at Gem’s i received a call yesterday from Dee regarding my appointment, she amended the appointment completely to where the stylist who was supposed to be doing my hair had no time to do my hair, Dee changed it to a half head of foils which short changed Caitlin who was incredibly apologetic i am not annoyed with her, but Dee didn’t know my hair, and i even said in the phone call i am not 100% sure what i want, but i wanted to give the stylist as much as time as possible, Dee stood across from Caitlin completely aware she is the one who stuffed up, didn’t acknowledge it or apologise left Caitlin to fend for herself, there was numerous ways to handle this, offer to do my hair with Caitlin and Dee both working on it in between clients, look to reschedule or move appointments around, honestly, Jo and Caitlin are fantastic and i wouldn’t say a bad word against them but the lack of accountability from Dee has left me in a position where i wouldn’t...

I have found Gems to always be affordable and have great availability. Chelsea is very professional and takes the time to work out exactly what you want. She is honest and will give constructive feedback and will let you know what will work and look good and what won’t. Having gone from blonde to dark I am loving the new change. Chelsea is good fun, friendly and you always leave feeling refreshed and relaxed. I am no hair person and don’t even own a hair dryer so I love when I visit Gems and am looked after by Chelsea. I can’t believe the transformation of my hair going from brown, long, straight and dry to shoulder length wavy and blond/brown. I get so many compliments about how nice it looks. Over a couple of visits, Trish has been gradually layering, colouring , trimming, styling to get this effect to make it healthier and easier to manage as well as better at hiding greys.
