False advertising with their Birthday package, they say it will be less stressful but it made our party stressful becz of all the trouble from the start.
It started when I phone to ask some query about the "awesome package" because I already booked and their FAQ doesn't have enough infos but the person I talked keep on rushing me and trying to cut the call short, that's started the red flag that I wanted to cancel my booked party but too bad I already paid the non refundable deposit so I must continue. I booked my daughter's birthday 1 month early so I have time to prepare. Since their FAQ is incomplete, I just cater the rest of the work to myself and I don't want to leave the fate of my party to them.
The big day of the party, so I brought enough foods with spoons, plates, utensils and cake even the party package says it's already provided but I still brought for us becz I'm not sure if those are enough for the guests. I only have 11 kids for the party with their accompanied parenst. We came 1.5 hours early with our stuff for the party. We talked to the people in FlipOut and said we have to wait for 15mins before the party and they will call us if we can go We waited for 1.20 hour but they arent ready. We went there with some of our guests already arrived, they are still not done with the clean up and our party is already 10mins late. I asked the stuff if we can take the other room since no one is there but he insisted we can not and someone booked it even though there were NO ONEs there. So I'm fine, I'm also busy greeting my guests since the party is already 12mins late. There's no food yet or even water in the table, we ask the girl staff (she seems the party host I assume) to bring us the drinks and food, she said it won't be serve until 30mins before end of the party becz its their SOP, again I don't want to argue because we already busy preparing our own food for the guest who already looks hungry waiting. 1 hour later the party had no WATER or anything in the table except for the kids finger foods, nothing for the adults to eat except for the food we brought so I keep asking the crew if they can just serve us even the drinks. I also tried to find the manager but can't find the guy. 30 mins before the end of the party, the food arrived with the cordial drinks however theylooks bad because maybe it has been rushed. They served the adult platter so bad with all the packaging wrap still on it and the cheese hasn't even sliced. It was really bad that we look like begging for drinks and food. I feel sorry for the guests but they all understand that FlipOut served the party so badly.
We brought our own cake since most of our guests will be leaving early so we started slicing our own cake. While we were almost done, the staff reminded us that we have to start wrapping up becz there will be another party coming in our room. How cool was that? they did not serve us right and now they are rushing us to leave. What's worse is they did not even serve their birthday cake yet that was included with the package. 15 mins before the end of the party, they ask us if they can serve the cake even though obviously the guests are already leaving and there are only a few kids left to eat them so we ask for a refund for the cake. My wife talk to the staff and was not sure what the agreed compensation but the party was already ruined by them so I don't mind whatever compensation they will give us.
My guest is asking me to complain to the manager but was really busy packing up our things and I don't want to ruin my daughter's party with full of hate. Whoever is the designated manager in Blacktown Flipout on this date 4th of November, 2023 , you have to manage your crew better and don't make your client like beggars asking for water and food. You badly served our daughter's party, so stressful for us, I don't hate the kids or teens crews who served us but it's all on you. Firstly, the staff seemed disorganized and inattentive. Despite the play area being moderately busy, there were long wait times for basic assistance. When I approached the staff with questions about the facilities and safety guidelines, they either gave vague responses or appeared uninterested in helping. It was disappointing to see such a lack of engagement, especially in a space meant for children where safety and supervision should be a priority.i never recommend to anyone for any parties. I would hesitate to recommend this play area to others seeking a safe and enjoyable environment for their children. We had to arrange our own tables, get napkins and plates ourselves, and basically do everything on our own. Was told the party was in room 3 to then be told no thereās still a party in there and they needed to find another room. Meanwhile I booked this party over a month ago! Was told the party was upstairs. We walked up there to dirty tables and nothing set up. No host to be found. Went down stairs to ask and were told to go to the kitchen and ask. Um what!? My family and I had to put the chairs out as the guest were arriving and set the cups and stuff out as the Party host had no idea what he was doing and there was no communication. Kids missed out on 20 mins of jump time because of this un organisation. For me to hand the kids socks when its the host job. Lucky some kids brought their own as there wasnāt enough to hand out.
