We visited Bud café on the weekend for breakfast, something we haven’t done for quite a while due to varying circumstances. It wasn’t as packed as it used to be with plenty of vacant tables to pick from. We have enjoyed it there in the past but this visit was the worst. We (myself, hubby & brother) ordered our breakfast & coffees at the counter - pancakes, bacon & egg roll and a vegie wrap – got our table number and sat at a table. At the table next to us we noticed a young family (mum, dad & 2 kids) with the kids eating their bacon and egg rolls. When the kids were just finishing their rolls, mum’s meal arrived. Then we got our coffees and the pancakes. The mum was halfway through her meal when the dad’s meal arrived but he said that’s not my meal, I didn’t order that. We noticed some more people enter and sit at a table behind us. When the mum finished hers, the dad’s meal arrived and they had to all sit there and wait for him to finish his. My brother had long finished his pancakes and we were still waiting ages for our meal when I noticed the people at the table behind us (who came in after us) were being served their food. I went to ask about ours and they had my husband’s bacon & egg roll ready and said my wrap was coming. I pointed out that other people who came in well after us were already eating and they just stare blankly. My husband finished his before mine even showed up. If you are going to go here be prepared to eat one person at a time, because that’s all they can manage. My wrap didn’t even require cooking yet is was the last thing to get ready. The family next to us finished and left and one of the staff was clearing their table and picked up way too many dishes and dropped the whole lot smashing it all across the cafe. It was the worst experience I’ve had in a long time. Spend your money elsewhere. What a shame because it used to be a great experience to eat there then go meandering in Flower Power,...
Read moreI have tried to come here twice, the first time we came in at 3:20 (all online postings show it closes at 4:00), and we weren’t allowed to get a coffee.
I came again today at 2:15, I was showed where the menus were, and we decided what we wanted to eat. I went to the counter and placed the entire order, and as I was about to pay a random worker came over and said “kitchen closed”. It was extraordinarily rude, there was no info about the kitchen closing, we weren’t told anything when we got the menu.
Not only was the lady at the counter hopeless, slow and air headed, but her coworker was rude, and they started pointing at us as we were looking at the cakes section as we weren’t allowed to order food.
We ordered coffee, and I went back to the counter to order a pie and 2 spinach and feta rolls, and the food items were $10 each. I decided I wasn’t going to spend a ridiculous price for microwaved garbage, and got a scoff and rude service for the coffees. To top it all off, the people right after me were served hot chips and bacon wraps, seemingly because they complained more than I did. All I was ordering were eggs, bacon, and toasted sourdough by the way.
I have yet to even try the food, but many people in the cafe left large portions on their plates. The food is expensive, service is terrible, and the coffee was mediocre.
The mocha we got wasn’t even mixed and had large clumps in...
Read moreI recently visited a cafe that exceeded all of my expectations and I can't wait to share my thoughts on it. From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the warm and inviting atmosphere. The decor was stylish and modern, with cozy seating options and plenty of natural light.
But what really stood out to me was the quality of the food and drinks. The coffee was expertly brewed and had a rich, robust flavor that was truly satisfying. The menu offered a wide range of options, from classic espresso drinks to more unique and creative concoctions.
And the food was just as impressive. The pastries were fresh and flaky, and the sandwiches were made with high-quality ingredients and bursting with flavor. I especially enjoyed the avocado toast, which was topped with perfectly ripe avocado and a delicious blend of spices.
But what really made this cafe stand out was the exceptional service. The staff was friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about their craft. They took the time to explain the different menu options and make recommendations based on my preferences.
Overall, I would highly recommend this cafe to anyone looking for a high-quality coffee and food experience. The atmosphere, food, and service were all exceptional, and I can't wait...
