The Curtain Factory — Local services in Sydney

The absolute worst service and product I have ever received. I don't normally write reviews like this but just wanted to warn anyone thinking of using them. Curtains arrived and the blockout fabric that they were lined with smelt so bad and toxic we couldn't use them. They told us it had happened before and to just air them out for a week. We aired them out for 3 weeks and the smell didn't go anywhere. Not just my opinion either- friends and family that visited thought they smelt terrible too. I can't even describe how rude they were about the whole thing, it was unbelievable- told me to light candles to mask the smell and that I must have a very sensitive nose because it's never happened before (even though they'd already said previously it had). The conversations I had with the sales woman were like no other conversations I ever had, she was awful to us and so argumentative. After a lot of back and forth ended up going to Spotlight and buying some more standard blockout fabric (didn't smell at all) at my own expense which they used to reline. There were a couple of other small problems too with he curtains not being as we ordered, which don't have time to go into here. Just be warned! I had some attractive block out curtains and smart blinds installed some months ago in our living room. The curtains have been amazing for warming our living room in winter and keeping our room cool in the warmer weather. The price was very competitive when compared with the same curtain from another local company. I was very happy with the advice provided by Tony in the shop, and then the assistance in choosing the curtains and rod, as well as the blinds from Suanne. She is very experienced and filled me with confidence. The installation of the curtains and blinds by Rhys went very smoothly. I can highly recommend this company and the personalised service...

I contacted The Curtain Factory after receiving a quote from another supplier, which I thought was a bit pricey. I was right. Sue Ann came to measure up and provided a quote the following day. I was thrilled to see that it was more than 40% cheaper than my previous quote, with exactly the same material and finish. Curtains were installed seamlessly by Reece and are perfect. He even cleaned up the little bit of mess he made. Reece also assured me that if the curtains dropped (I like them sitting above the ground) they would adjust them free of charge. This is a family owned company and the service provided was impeccable. I cannot recommend them...
