Australia Post - George Town Post Shop — Local services in Tasmania

The reviews on here are not very honest I am a former Soldier I grew up in the George Town district, previous post staff were older ladies and they were very well mannered and equi pped to handle everyone's needs, the two current ladies will not help you if it is 4:45 pm, there are many complaints on thumbs up thumbs down George Town facebook! I will be referring them here also, this is inadequate service, I put my life on the line for our beautiful nation and yet two very lazy ladies could not assist me with one 5 minute job, they lied to me told me to make an appointment, when you do not need to make an appointment in Launceston, they told me with 15 mins to spare mind you, that I had to book an appointment I rang head office they told me this is not true the ladies were not doing their job and that I did not need to make any appointments that it was false information, once I arrived in Launceston I was met with a very helpful lady who helped me before my forklift license would expire, I explained my situation to the George Town staff, they were not even friendly as I walked in the door, I had a rude glare before I could even ask for assistance the blonde lady said I DONT DO OVERTIME! with a very foul looking face, this is not friendly customer service, I try to boycott this post office as much as I can since the Launceston staff are the only people that will help you! These ladies need a wake-up call, they are terribly lazy and don't even work fast what so ever, they do not need an extra person they need to pull their finger out, trust me I am a former soldier I know what is hard and easy, their job is flipping pancakes in comparison! 1 star only because there was a door attached to the building, even though it should be closed when these ladies can't...

I used the parcel locker and put the code in that they gave me, and then it asked me for my phone number, which I typed in, then it told me invalid details. I tried a few more times after that, then it told me the pin that just worked a few seconds ago was invalid tried 3 more times after that still told me invalid details. That's it after a 45km round-trip I have to do it again which will be 90km to pick up one item of mail, and I have had trouble 3 times now over the years with parcel lockers. I'll never use another parcel locker again till the day I die unless the PO is open and someone is there who can help me or so I can call Australia post in business hours.
