So excited this is the first time I caught squid!!! 🦑🦑🦑
Got to make some delicious calamari rings so this place will definitely have a special place in my heart that will be a memorable one in my life 🥰
Beautiful clear water to fish, swim, or dive in. Otherwise simply to just take in the calm waves and enjoy the view.
At night there’s an abundance of cephalopods and excellent to fish. My partner and I liked this spot so much we came here twice in a day.
There are people here also doing campfires and outdoor cooking setup. Quite a spacious Jerry so ample of space at night.
Daytime especially on weekends or public holidays can be overly crowded.
The jetty is a little walk from carpark, about 5-10mins depending how quick you walk however it is a nice walk through the park that is generally filled with wildlife plenty of bbq’s perfect for families.
Also a handy bait vending machine for people who need some last minute extra bait.
There’s toilets, a showers area and an abundance of facilities here that is very helpful.
Hope to come back here again in the future when I’m more experienced in squidding to try...
Read moreWhat a gem. Maybe not the best fishing spot in WA ( even though lots of people are fishing off the jetty) might catch a few tiddlers here or there so great to take the little ones for their first fish. You have 2 beaches, No dogs, and dogs beach. Both are great to take the family on either side. Dog owners are responsible enough to clean up after their dog, so no nasty surprises. The waves are usually very small so will not be good for surfers but great for little kids. Woodmans point also has a grassy area with BBQ's and amenities to use, so this spot really is a great place to meet up with family and friends, maybe take a ball to kick around or a cricket set, and relax with a couple of snags on the barbie. Highly recommend this place for family orientated fun for families with...
Read moreThis location is an excellent spot for fishing sardines and crabs, bustling with activity even during the nights. It's a paradise for immigrants who come to fish after dark, providing a diverse perspective on multiculturalism. On some afternoons, the area gets so crowded that casting a line becomes nearly impossible.
The beach is nearby, so if you need a break, you can also try your hand at water activities. However, some nights, loud groups with boom boxes and vapes can invade the area, creating a lot of noise. Unfortunately, the restrooms in the nearby park close early. There is ample parking available, and the area is generally kept clean. Then there's the lone pelican who gets all the under sized fishes caught in the...
