We went over to yamba on the ferry from Iluka on an idyllic beautiful winter's day - enjoyed the variety of beautiful items at stalls and had a delightful bakery lunch, did the local shops and were back in iluka for happy hour. We did however note that the day were long waiting for the return ferry - 5 hours is a bit much on your feets on a day off.... Not a huge amount of local stuffs at market - actually, a great deal were imported .... and so very many of yamba shops were closed... they could do with bringing a few portaloos in for the day as the wait for the two public toilets could be long at times.... Lastly - the friendly market stall operators that engaged in conversation and actively sold were doing well- the ones that sit in the corner looking bored were dead quiet.
