It is always formidable watching those huge cargo ships come in or go out. Like today during our bike tour from Blankenberge to Knokke we got lucky twice : to/fro! 😍 The bridge was lifted and huge cargo vessels were being towed/guided into/out of the sluis. Magnificant to watch... very impressive!! So one good advice : if you're not in a hurry please wait to watch the whole movement. It's really worth the while 👍

Blijft gewoon open staan eens het schip voorbij is. Mag je rondwandelen. Ook goed, maar maak dit dan duidelijk. Nu staan er steeds verwarde toeristen te wachten.

There’s another close bridge to cross if this one is up. However, it takes at least half an hour walk. Much better than waiting 1-2 hours for...
