I had a really bad experience here they don’t even deserve one star. Very rude staff, they don’t even respond when you ask them something , they neglect you and are racist towards coloured people ! They were following me everywhere cause they thought I was stealing , many of them insulted me until the whole staff came as if it was a revolution , and I promise that I was just saying that I was looking for some products and I couldn’t find them anywhere it was my first time in this store… After a few minutes the security told me to go out otherwise they would call the police??? I was just buying groceries for my aunt and I often do grocery shopping in Brussels but this was a first time having this kind of treatment in a store. Even the owner came out but defended his staff and told me they had cameras , I responded that they can check cause I didn’t steal anything, I am well educated and I have a job why would I steal?I’d never recommend this even to my worst enemy. Hope they learn to have a normal mentality and respect towards all kinds of people, we’re not in the 20´s in America , I believe ? This place breaks my heart. What used to easily be the best supermarket in the area has turned into a complete disaster. Ever since the greedy monsters at corporate decided to switch to the franchise model everything has gone downhill. What used to be a great shopping experience has become miserable as the place is constantly understocked and out of everything. Today I went to buy a baguette and there were non in the sales area. I looked at the bakery and there were baguettes ready but no one to stock them or even ask for one. Instead the student and temp staff were busy being students and temps, namely not caring about their jobs because their jobs don't care about them. My Saturday morning shopping experience at this place ended up being my last shopping experience at this place. I saw a man following me around the shop and got extremely scared that I am about to get harmed. At the self-checkout I was shaking as he was standing right behind me, with the shop assistant staying completely indifferent. Having paid I was asked to open my bag - apparently I had been profiled as a shoplifter. I'm not sure whether the balance between the customers' personal safety and overall shopping experience and their own business maintenance was struck properly - but having felt threatened, disempowered and humiliated while buying coffee filters, I don't plan to find this...
