B&B The Nest Brussels — Hotel in Ixelles - Elsene

The interior of the place is fantastic, like you've entered in a cute short story from female author. But I had very bad experience with the owner. My flight was in the afternoon, so I wanted to leave my ludgage there and pick it up at 18h. she said it wouldn't be possible. So I had to go to the central station and lock it there. Also had to phone in roaming to change the address of the taxi. It was bit stressful. The internet was very low, could not participate in an important conference call from work. The rooms are situated above the ground so the place smells bit of a moisture. The place is 2 floors house with a semi- basement where the guest rooms are and the family lives on the other floors. There are 3 children and you can basically hear every step they make and everything they say cause the house is old. So I had to wake up at around 6 am when she was getting up. The breakfast was delicious bit every day the same and you should prepare by yourself the eggs and the juice. I was late for work so didn't have time for that. I won't go...

We came here for a mini honeymoon after we got married at the end on 2019. From the moment we booked, our host Julie was great keeping in contact on email and WhatsApp until we arrived. We were greeted with a lovely hand written note.||||We stayed in the double room at the front of the house on the street. The room was clean and tidy, the shower was refreshing and powerful and the added touch of hair straighteners was a bonus for my wife.||||The Nest is a short walk into the Brussels centre, a few minutes walk from the hop on hop off bus and there is a public bus (number 95) which goes to the centre of Brussels.||||There are grocery shops at the end of the road.||||We will definately be coming back here soon. Place is interesting and located in old city house. Location of my room was in the basement. Room itself has a lot of space and decorated in a vintage style. Bathroom was very clean and they provided very good soap so I smelled like a flower for two days :). This is a house where young family is living, but you will not be bothered so you will have your own privacy. Owner was very friendly and kind and she will do all the best that you will feel comfotable or informed. Wireless wa working also very good so I was able to do also some work there. Brekfast is not of a rich selection but you will find some cool things and enjoy. Also a fresh orange juice squeezer was a big plus there.
