Delhaize Heist — Local services in Knokke-Heist

I love being profiled and harassed when I'm trying to buy groceries. I had my backpack in my cart with groceries on top of it clearly empty. When I was scanning my items a check-out the clerk told me I was supposed to leave my bag at the desk before entering. I responded by telling her I did not see the notice and will do so next time.(friendly reminder that this is something that legally cant be enforced.). I see the clerk calling over her supervisor who then tells me the same thing while the other clerk condescendingly tells me that's what happens if I don't do what they say. I had a half drunken bottle of soda in my pocket which I bought at a pittashop near my house on the road and the manager made a big deal about it. told me to pay for half a soda bought somewhere else or give them the soda which I could collect a few days later after they checked the cams to see if I didn't steal it. I gave them the half drunken bottle because its not really worth my time(and it really shouldn't be theirs either but ok). All of this was straight out harassment and intimidation, its gross behaviour that increased my anxiety which was getting better up until that point and made me feel like I was an unwanted element and not welcome despite spending 70 euros over there. Delhaize Heist is een prachtige winkel met een ruime keuze aan producten. Aan de ingang van de winkel hangt een bord dat men een prijs heeft gewonnen voor klantvriendelijkheid. Iets wat ik deze morgen NIET mocht ervaren. Zoals steeds maakte ik gebruik van de self-scan. Aan de "Martini Vermout zonder alcohol" hing een bordje dat zei dat de tweede fles een korting van 40% kreeg. Zie foto hierbij genomen 30/3 om 08.47 uur. Bij het afrekenen verscheen deze korting NIET en ik vroeg hulp. De dame vroeg aan een collega om dit na te kijken. Na enkele minuten kwam hij terug om te zien of ik de juiste flessen had genomen en hij verdween terug. Na enkele minuten kwam hij terug om me te vertellen dat de promotie vervallen was. Toen ik hem zei dat het bordje nog steeds aanwezig was, antwoordde hij me dat ik de datum moest nakijken. Ik bleef achter met het gevoel dat ik in fout was. Geen verontschuldigingen werden aangeboden. Geen korting werd aangeboden....
