There has been a market on this site for many decades, but the current structure was built in 2012 when the old stalls were demolished. It is very large, well-lit and has many, many stalls selling just about everything from fruits and vegetables, cheeses, wines & liquors, barbershops, specialty foods, restaurants, pet shops, butchers, fish mongers and many others (about 100 or so in all). This is a great market with lots of different businesses inside. We shop here to get fresh produce, local artisanal cheeses, seafood, cacao, coffee, raw milk & butter and much more. The space itself is in an old building and there's no air conditioning so the shopping experience isn't as comfortable as it could be, but the selection all at one location is definitely worth it.
