I am disappointed in the customer service I have received.
I bought a $90 magnolia tree May 29th, 2020 and realized it wasn't doing well late May 2021 - I did not know there was a warranty on the plants until I was told by my mom. I called June 7th and was told to email Nancy. I emailed Nancy on June 8th, sent photos of the tree and did not hear anything back within a few days so I called to follow up on June 10th. They said they would get back to me by end of business day next day. (June 11th). I still did not hear back, so I called back June 14th and was told Nancy would get back to me within a couple days. Did not hear anything by June 18th, so I called back in the morning and was told Nancy would get back to me later that day.
I hear from a Barbara later that day and she said that because it was passed my warranty period, they would offer me $45 towards the purchase but would not warranty the whole tree. I said I was a week past warranty, and with COVID lock downs etc I didn't think it would be unreasonable to expect them to honour a warranty. She responded with "You had one year, that's 365 days. The owner did not have to honour any warranty or even give you the $45 towards the tree".
We spent a lot of money here in 2020, apple trees, perennials, cedar trees, raspberry plants, bushes and this magnolia tree (which is the only thing that did not survive). I just find it sad that with the last year and a half we have had that they couldn't honour a full warranty a week late - or even just replace the tree.
I gave 2 stars instead of one because the other plants are thriving and up until this situation we enjoyed...

I drove out of my way (I was looking for something specific that they had in stock) and was disappointed to discover that there was a mix up with my order and it was not there. They were very apologetic - refunded the amount and I left disappointed. I understand accidents happen but, in my opinion, the measure of good business is how those accidents are dealt with & Alliston Botanix - you knocked it out of the park! Within an hour of me leaving, I received a call from the owner who was so upset to hear about the mishap - they looked into the issue - found my order and had them delivered to my cottage (over an hour away!) 2 days later. Read moreHad a great experience at Alliston Botanix today. I went in with a few vegetable plants in mind and found exactly what I needed—with the help of knowledgeable and friendly staff. What really stood out was how they took the time to recommend other plant varieties and gave great planting advice along the way.
I ended up buying quite a bit, and the staff went above and beyond by helping me bring everything to my car and load it up. Amazing customer service from start to finish.
All the plants looked fresh, healthy, and well cared for. Plus, they’ve got a points system—which means I’ll definitely be back....
