Stacked Pancake & Breakfast House — Restaurant in New Tecumseth

Our server named brittanie or something like that was the slowest i’ve ever dealt with at any breakfast place. I eat out for breakfast alot and usually my order comes in a timely manner. The drink orders came because our host took the order and gave it to us. When it came down to our mains i had to flag it down 2 times so someone could take our damn order. In the middle of the food i ask brittanie for warm water, she didnt give it to us. I had to flag down the host to get me water. When it came to paying our server was nowhere to be found so i had to flag down the host again, to ask for the bill and a to go box. Brittanie came with the bill and the to go box and she asked if i needed the machine i said yes. 10 minutes later she still hasnt come back with our machine, mind you i saw her serving 2 tables while i was waiting for the machine. I had to flag her down and asked for the machine again and she goes yeah sure, as if i havent asked for it earlier. Not only was the service sh*t, we didnt also get our orders till 30 minutes later. The person i was with can usually wait and is normally patient when it comes to waiting for food even said whats taking our food so long. Never again man. If i could give this lower than a 1...

Decent food but the service was terrible even though the place wasn’t that busy. More particularly our server was not very good. Other patrons seemed to be having no issues with the service they where receiving. We where ignored, things where forgotten, and overall the server was not satisfactory. I had to flag down another server just to get coffee, while ours was nowhere to be found. We waited for at least 15 minutes before our server even bothered to see if we wanted anything. Our breakfast was brought to us and we still had no cutlery to eat with. I had to ask twice for a to go box and eventually had to get up and go to the servers station to ask for it, where I found our server restocking drinks having forgotten all about the twice requested item. The food itself was comparable to most breakfast joints and pretty much saved the situation. Prices aren’t terrible, quantity is above average. I would try it again as long as it wasn’t a self serve deal like today. The tip our server received was half of what I’d have normally left for even basic service. Stacked was one of our go to breakfast place since we moved to Alliston. Served us well for the time we have been there. Except last visit, that was 1st Saturday of December 2023. Ordered a stacked breakfast with 2 eggs over medium and home fries with jalapeños topping to spice up the fries, and the option of French toast as well. I'm not sure if the ownership changed or not, the food was not upto the mark at all. Fries were not very fresh, the topping that was charged almost $2 was a teaspoon full of dried jalapeños and onions cooked and left out to dry even further sprinkled over the fries. Looked and tasted nasty. Bacon was crisp indeed but with the taste of grill cleaner that was used to clean the griddle the night before I suppose. Atleast the griddle is cleaned I guess. French toast that I got was tasting somewhat sour, as if it's been soaked for some time and left outside. The seat we got was still wet after the wipe down, but had a nasty smell of old cloth soaked in dirty water. The quality have dropped drastically but the price did not.
