Don't do it, HORRIBLE LOCATION. I am a big fan of Montana's, we've gone to this location several times since we live close to it. However we will never return, do to the experiences we had each time we visited. In our last visit we went for our anniversary dinner and were very disappointed again. We ordered the deep fried pickles as an appetizer, took 45 minutes to arrive. My husband ordered the special Caesar that comes with a rib, it hadn't arrived before the appetizer so we inquired about it. She explained that the bar tender was very busy but would follow up, not sure how that was possible cause the table were nearly empty (only about 5-6 other guest), there were only a few people sitting at the actual bar. 20 minutes later he finally received his drink, which took longer cause they had to wait on the kitchen for the rib. Then he had asked for one with no spice, yet it was so hot, burning going down. Our food finally arrived two hours after ordering, I had ordered a rare steak and baked potato dinner. Had to send the steak back, I knew as soon as the waitress put the plate in front of me that it was over cooked. Once I cut into it there was no pink to be found, it was very well done. I called the waitress over and showed her the steak and asked for a new one, she apologized and went into the kitchen and yelled a refire of it right away. Then the manager came to our table, saying he needed to see the steak before they can replace it, even though the waitress told him she saw it. He then said to make up for it he get get the kitchen to make us some fries while we wait for the steak. I informed him that I didn't need more food I would just eat my potato while I wait, that I'd appreciate a discount on my bill instead do to this and the long wait and bad service for everything. He said ok, however when the bill came there was no discount. Then the manager was too busy to come out and speak...
Read moreWe were camping at Earl Rowe and had looked forward to a delicious dinner at the Piper Arms pub. When we arrived it was crammed with happy looking people eating lovely food and we couldn't get a table so we decided to book a table for the following day and eat at Montana's. Should be fine, we assumed. It's a chain restaurant - predictable quality, right? Wrong. It was empty, had zero atmosphere...but we got a booth so that was good. Service was flaccid to say the least. We ordered fried pickles to start. When they hadn't arrived after 11 mins, we asked and the server said the kitchen was busy (there were three other tables in use and one had eaten and were just chatting so not sure how this could be true/accurate). They eventually came out, followed thirty seconds later by the mains. I had ordered the Hogfather but they'd run out of pulled pork (at 6pm on a friday evening - what are they doing with the stock control at this place?!) so I ended up with a $20 bacon sandwich. Son ordered a burger (he loves burgers and always orders burgers, usually asking for another afterwards). He hated it. It was burnt and, like the bacon sandwich, they'd used enough sauce to drown a dozen restaurant reviewers so he just ate the fries. Wife ordered tacos. They were returned as the smell of garbage can that they had was horrendous. As we'd been there for longer than we wanted, she ordered kids ribs as a replacement as they'd be the quickest thing to come out, we assumed. They were quick but that happens when you microwave food instead of cooking it with any skill or care. Montanas ribs are microwaved, come out like dense cardboard and are almost impossible to cut off the bone. Horrendous.
Wife and kid went to McDs immediately after leaving this dump.
Highlight was the fries....
Read moreDecember: Very good experience. We ordered our food at 2:05 and was at our table and hot at 2:20. We ordered the fajitas and a burger. Both were delicious and the service was fast and friendly. They also have cheap food and drink specials everyday of the week. This place only recently opened so staff are still getting the hang of things and may not have memorized the menu completely, but provided us with excellent service. Will be back soon!
UPDATE: Jan 7, 2017. Two stars Made a reservation for 2:30 for 8 people for my boyfriends birthday with his family. The drinks were good but the food was not. I ordered a steak and it came 20 mins after everyone else's food. It had been forgotten about on the grill. When I alerted the waitress that my food still wasn't here she want and got the burnt tasteless steak off the grill. It was awful and I sent it back. A new steak came 10 minutes later and was better but still pretty dry and tasteless. I was glad there was a place to get a good steak in town but I will not get a steak there again. The spinach dip and burgers seem to be the only good items on the menu. The service was sub par and most of the staff seemed to have a confused look on their faces. This place has been open for almost 2 months now, it should be getting...
