Bedford Commons — Local services in Bedford

I recently visited Bedford Commons Plaza and was impressed by the variety of stores and services available. The plaza is anchored by Walmart and Canadian Tire, and also features Winners, Pet Store, Staples, Sport Check, and Value Village. There’s even a Tim Hortons on site! The parking lot is spacious and there’s plenty of room to park. However, it’s worth noting that the plaza is currently undergoing construction of the new road and repairs of the overpass, which might make it a little difficult to access at the moment. My London fog was served with a heart shaped sprinkling of cinnamon, and cheerful warm conversation, and the upstairs sitting room afforded our little group a place to chat and work and fellowship comfortably. It was like stepping back in time with all of the wagons full of fruit and breads and the strong polished tables, looking out beyond the tracks to the Bedford basin. A wild pheasant strolled by the window as we talked.

But it's not just a very cool spot to meet; in the next room, they serve up wall to wall glittery elegance if you want somewhere formal to give a seminar or host a wedding. This...

While we do have one closer (Bridgewater) to home, we try to get to this location once a month when we visit the grandchildren.

This store is bright, clean, and well-stocked which is not always true of the Bridgewater store. There is a good selection of items and we can usually find someone to help (if needed).

Also, we find there is adequate aisle space to accommodate carts, wheelchairs, and people during busy times and days. As two seniors with health challenges, we find this extremely important and appreciate the clean, bright, space more with...
