Ive already wasted so much time having to deal with their inefficiencies that I choose to not leave a detailed review. Rather I would like to leave a detailed message informing potential customers to beware of shopping at Ashley and outline a few things they can expect.
-The items are overpriced, with build quality being no where near to what you would expect for those prices. -Their discounts on 5 piece bed sets are absolutely misleading as they split a single bed frame into 3 pieces (headboard, rails, footboard). -Manipulative tactics are used to push sales on items currently not in stock. They will make you agree to purchase a product, state that it should be available within 2 weeks, but never mention that once you’ve payed for it it is not possible to receive a refund, even if you become tired of waiting 4 months in. -Their delivery teams are composed of unprofessional employees, who have on more than one occasion exhibited a lack of knowledge/skill required for even basic furniture assembly. To the point where a bed has literally broken while in use, thankfully we were not hurt. The cause of the collapse was discovered to be bolts missing between the headboard and side rail. -Guest care has also been unprofessional and unwilling to show remorse, and still will push the agenda of fix/repair and not replace even when the item not being put together properly has caused so much strain on other areas that it will not connect as it was intended to. -Expect the possibility of damaged or poor performing furniture that you are not able to return without incurring losses of some sort while not being at fault. -Be prepared to go to your local bolts store because the bolts provided with the furniture is not the correct ones. For example bolts of incorrect size being provided with chests/drawers connected to the hardware in reverse due to packing, but on the flip side having to put them into countersunk holes which require a smaller size screw/bolt being provided by Ashley.
As a customer we must realize there are retailers who have a passion towards delivering their customers with an incredible experience/product where others only concern is maximizing profits and revenues by any means possible. Unfortunately Ashley furniture has displayed on more than one occasion that their interests remain in focusing on their bottom line rather than customer satisfaction.
That being said I wish not to communicate with anyone from Ashley furniture so please don’t even bother replying to my review. I would rather spend my time using my drill, impact driver, wood glue, 2inch construction screws, 2 3/4 inch wood screws, 2x2 lumber, mitre saw, table saw, kreg pocket hole tool, bessey clamps and my basic carpentry knowledge to repair this furniture that I am stuck with.

Read morePoor Guest care service. If I could leave zero stars I would. I purchased a couch, dresser and nightstands from the Brampton location back on January 23rd. My furniture was supposed to be delivered to on February 14th and it never showed up. When I had called to find out what was going on with my delivery, I was told that not all the parts of my couch had arrived and I would be notified once it all would be ready for delivery. On February 18th I finally received a phone call stating that delivery would be made on February 24th. From Saturday February 19th right through to delivery day February 24th, I received 2 text messages and 2 emails each day about the impending delivery, that I would receive my furniture between 2:45 and 5:45 pm. On the day of, they even send a delivery tracker that advises you of what stop number you are and the expected delivery time. As I was tracking my items, I noticed that the delivery time started moving from 2:54 pm to 3:00 to 4:00 to 5:00 to even after 6:00 pm and that the driver was stuck at stop 9 from noon! When I contacted the store at 5:45 pm regarding where my items were, nobody could tell me what was going on. I was told that according to the tracker it would arrive at 6:30. I explained the tracker has just been changing time but the driver has not moved beyond stop 9. I was told to contact guest care to which i did. I spoke with Sarah and explained the entire situation. I was advised that a message was sent to the driver and accepted therefore they should be delivering to me today and that the driver would contact when they were on their way. I waited about 30 minutes later and decided to check the tracker which was now not showing any information any longer. I immediately contacted guest services again to find out what was going on with my furniture, after pressing Jessie to get me information about where the items were and when they would be delivered she advised me that the truck was "stuck" and that I would not be receiving my delivery today.
I was infuriated as if I had never contacted guest care regarding my delivery nobody would've informed me about delay. Additionally, the truck had be "stuck" from noon as it hadn't moved from stop 9 and at no time did anyone in their transportation division look into where the truck was nor inform the remaining customers about the delay in receiving their items. I find that type of communication and lack of service unprofessional for a large organization such as Ashley Furniture.
Furthermore, when I requested I receive compensation for the inconvenience I experienced, Jessie proceeded to tell me that they could offer me a $150 store credit or $75 refund to which i believe is laughable. I should receive full REIMBURSEMENT of the white glove delivery fee of $150 + tax that I paid for and never received. I will never purchase another item from this store! I am writing on behalf of my parents, because we have been going back and forth with this terrible company with terrible customer service.
We purchased a dining table and server in EARLY Nov 2021 from ashley costing 4000 Cdn dollars bc its an "exclusive piece" lmao I highly doubt that considering the awful shape it came in it should really be 2200$. We were told things would arrive in the next 2-3 weeks by the associate named MANNU. he gave a date about 2 weeks out from the date of purchase i cannot recall exactly sometime end of November 2021. The table ended up arriving Dec 27 2021 ALONE. Mannu said they would send everything together. They also arrived with a server another date BEFORE the table arrived and it was in absolute horrible condition as if someone sent it back for repair. The delivery person agreed that they do not understand why they were told to deliver a piece in such horrible condition and took it back.
If we accepted, is this what we would end up with? RIDICULOUS. My mother even took off a day of work to set everything up - WE ARE LOSING MONEY HERE.
The table arrived in dec 27 as mentioned earlier. We have no idea where the server is, now we are told its coming in march?!!!! Yea right MANNU, what do u have to say about this huh? You were fast to sell for that commission. We are here wasting hours talking to customer service on the phone having 0 things resolved.
Things were set up. When we were inspecting the table it was HORRIBLE. There were scratches and paint missing on different parts and the chairs were different sizes for god's sake are you kidding. screws were sticking out in different places same with nails and staples. I mean, did we really pay 4k for this?!
We had repair men come to our house 2 times now, things are not resolved. These men themselves said that customer service has terrible communication within the company and we agreed. This company is ridiculous.
We are still waiting for things to get repaired. More men coming to your house and the server coming in MARCH?! I will definitely keep you updated on whether its in good shape, let alone arrives on that day.
So far we are fighting to have our pieces repaired and arrive in good shape. No mention from customer service on a discount or reimbursement for all of the wasted time, effort and money on this situation.
You are better off buying from smaller furniture businesses. Very disappointed in Mannu and his hastiness in getting us to buy. Overall, work on customer service as a company - we will not be buying again, nor will our friends or family.
