Attended this location to purchase work gloves that are covered by my employer once a receipt is submitted. I purchased one pair of winter work gloves for $51, expensive gloves! I approched the front customer service counter to check out and was served by an older lady with glasses that failed to say hi or any sort of acknowledgement. Asked if I would like to donate to charity and kindly declined. Once the transaction was completed, she stared past me with a blank look on her face and did not say a single word. A simple thanks would have done just fine. This sort of customer service is highly unprofessional and should be addressed immediately. I have worked in the customer service industry for 20 plus years, including a Canadian Tire retail store and would never treat a customer in such poor fashion. I tried to order it online and have it shipped to me since it was over $100, but I couldn't get it to work. After calling the store itself, I was informed that when their stock gets low, they refuse to ship to customers. I don't understand, if the customer wants to buy the item, but can't get to it, why does it matter if they buy it in-store or online? Read moreMark's was one if my favorite places for a good selection of durable clothes at a decent price. Recently I've had problems where the rear stitching on windriver jeans starts coming away. This happened on 3 pairs of jeans, 5 months old with no other noticeable wear. At the Burlington Fairview location I was told the jeans are for fashion only and not fir daily use. Probably because I'm sitting wrong. What!?? This is Mark's 'WORK' Warehouse, not Calvin Klein. At $80 a pair I'd expect Marks to stand behind their product, however I was told no returns, no exchanges and no guarantees since its over 100 days.
