Stacked Pancake & Breakfast House — Restaurant in Burlington

Disappointed with the service and kitchen staff with their attitude towards those with food allergies. Came in today with the hopes of ordering the gluten friendly pancakes to accommodate for my gluten allergy. This is the 3rd time I’ve been to stacked but at the brant location so I am familiar with what they are able to do and what they are not able To accommodate for. This isn’t my first time dining at a shared restaurant. All the pancakes are cooked on a shared grill, which is common, but they refused to clean the grill to accommodate for my allergy. I’ve never been told EVER by a restaurant that they cannot clean kitchen space and equipment for those with allergies even during busy times! Cora’s does it, stacked on brant does it and many other breakfast locations. They were so dismissive and rude. Don’t put “gluten-friendly pancakes or waffles” in your menu if you cannot accommodate people. The people you are trying to appeal to with the inclusion of this option are people who cannot ingest gluten, so why include it if you FAIL to employ BASIC allergy protocols and practices in the kitchen such as cleaning equipment? Do not go to this place if you have any type of food allergy, especially gluten. This is not a choice for those with allergies, and you made it harder for absolutely no reason at all! I have visited this Stacked location four or five times in the past three months. After experiencing the food at the Hanover location, I was interested to see how the Burlington Centre location fared. I was not disappointed. As one of a group of four co-workers who began to frequent the restaurant as our semi-regular breakfast spot, I can honestly say that the food & service have been excellent and consistently so. We have no problems getting a table or dining stall before 9am as it is usually still quiet. (If you visit after 10am, you may find a small lineup will greet you). Our main server has been Diana, and she always manages to find time to chat a little with us during the course of our stay. I have gone through most of the pancake options and can understand why the Cinnabon stack is #1 with others. The pancakes are generously sized, the sweetness of the icing is not overdone, and the smell of cinnamon really catches the attention of anyone sitting with you. I have enjoyed the home fries, which are lightly seasoned and the breakfast sausages are perfectly done. As for the eggs - no surprises, which is a good thing! Its no surprise that this location gets alot of customers as the location is convenient, ( lots of parking close to the doors), great service, friendly staff & timely delivery of the orders to the table. Our waitress, Diana, truly made our visit memorable. From the moment we were seated, she greeted us with a warm smile and a friendly demeanor. Diana was incredibly attentive throughout our meal, ensuring that our drinks were always topped up and that we had everything we needed.
