Walmart Supercentre — Local services in Candiac

Purchased a book as a Christmas gift; unfortunately, the person wished to have a different book, so when I tried to return the book, I was told it was a "final sale" item and that people try to return books that they have photocopied. Nothing on their website says anything about books, unless they are marked as being final sale (called Customer Service to confirm). When I tried calling the Candiac store to address the issue, I was told that it was considered "finale sale" because of author rights (What does Indigo, Renaud Bray, and Archambault sell, then?!). I told the lady that I had returned books to other stores before and never had any issues, to which she responded and I quote, " Well, return it to one of those stores instead" - in the rudest tone. Inventory management at Walmart sucks. I saw something online and it showed in stock at this Walmart. I called in to ensure they had the item in stock. The person at the end of the call assured me that they had 2 in stock. I drove 30 min to this Walmart to pick the item up.

The store was decent sized and was actually cleaner than most other Walmarts. Unfortunately my trip was a waste of my time as they did not have the item in stock.

I drove home and decided to order it online to pick it up at another Walmart store. Apparently the online site finally showed out of stock after I hit confirm to purchase on my online order.

We shop at Walmart quite a few times because of their selection and pricing. we find that we can buy pretty much anything we want at Walmart and we know we're going to get the best price. It's never that busy and we don't have to wait very long in line. I do like their selection and the quality of the merchandise is pretty good. One thing I discovered at Walmart that they have is a hole I'll section with British Cadbury chocolate products.
