I was on my way to Sail to purchase a $160 tackle bag for my husband. I totally forgot this store was just down the street from my work.
I was the only customer and there were three members of staff in the store. One was on the phone dealing with a customer reading outloud their credit card details. The other was loading up a reel with line. Another was wandering around the store i think.
I found the tackle boxes and made a production of opening all of them and taking them off the shelves. I was clearly playing the "May I help you" riff. No one approached me. I wanted to ask the differences, warranty details and was ready to drop some coin. It felt like they didn't even know i was there.
Found a bag and wanted to get an extra case to fit so my husband could swap them out. Figured that out on my own as well. Not rocket science but again no one helping me.
Finally stood for a few minutes watching the guy on the phone with the customer. With many attempts he flagged down someone to cash me out. I asked the guy cashing me out if there were little bric a brac fishing supplies I could buy to give with the gift. He only suggested pliers and i mentioned my husband already had those. He didn't have any other ideas and I gave up. Plus I had gone over my lunch break.
YES I ended to saving some money and I did get something my husband loved. However the lack of customer service was embarrassing. No one helped me at all and I was ready to spend twice as...

Beyond a shadow of a doubt, Natural Sports is my go-to fishing store in the Waterloo Region. The customer service here is unmatched — friendly, knowledgeable and genuinely passionate about fishing.
On a regular basis, particularly; Cole, Matt B, and Don (and other staff) are absolutely fantastic. They have legit on-the-water experience from local lakes, rivers and further places like North of Thunder Bay, which makes their advice super valuable.
What really impressed me was how they helped me choose between two very similar reels and rods. They took the time to walk me through the pros and cons, gave me honest feedback based on actual use and even offered great suggestions I hadn’t even considered! I left the store feeling satisfied about my purchase having the advice.
Whether you’re shopping on a budget or going all out, they’ll help you get exactly what you need without any pressure.
To top it all off, they even tied on a leader to my braided line when spooling my reel — a small touch that shows just how much they care.
Furthermore, I really like how they're modernizing their website for a better online customer experience.
Natural Sports isn’t just a store; it’s a place where you feel part of a fishing community. I highly recommend it to any angler,...
Read moreextremely pleased with the quality of service I received from the Natural Sports crew. I purchased a Rapala Serpa M2 ice shelter and after using it for one day, the black material on the inside began to peel off. I called and Ryan requested that I send him pictures and he will inform Rapala. Rapala responds and says "it was likely too cold outside" keep in mind this is an "ice fishing shelter" . Despite Rapala rejecting the warranty claim Ryan offered me an upgrade to the Rapala Asylum M3 and all I would have to do is pay the difference. This is fair as the asylum is a more expensive shelter. The fact that I was offered this exchange not only shows that Natural Sports supports the products they sell, but they truly care about their customers which is something tough to come by in todays world. I'm a university student at Laurier with no car so transportation to get there with a shelter is an issue and Ryan even offered me a ride there on his way to work. You exceeded all expectations I had set for your shop.
I encourage others to not hesitate to stop by the shop. There is a great variety of products for all types of fishing and a great group of employees with tons of knowledge on fishing.
Thank you so much for the amazing customer service Ryan and...
