We had probably the worst experience ever here for Victoria Day fireworks.
Unorganized timing We left another event we were at to get a good view of fireworks and food, so we arrived at 9pm to watch fireworks and the light show that was advertised to start at 9:30pm with “approximate timing” which I mean 15-20 mins seemed reasonable, but the light show started after 10:18pm (time that I started recording it on my iPhone) the delay was apparently to get the horses from the races safely off the property but we could still see the horse trailers from where we were standing as the fireworks started at 10:34pm. #1 concern obviously is the horses safety about the loud fireworks #2 why such a “delay” after talking to some people apparently they do fireworks at 10:30pm every year so WHY ADVERTISE FOR 10PM IF IT HAS NEVER HAPPENS AT 10PM?
#2 No Food We stood in line for the railside BBQ for over an hour just to be told they only have hot dogs. Then we waited another 30 mins at pizza pizza to be told there is no pizza! Completely understandable that places run out of things but communication to the customers or crossing menu items off to help YOUR PAYING CUSTOMERS would be greatly appreciated. They were also fully booked at the restaurants which we did know about ahead of time but if u don’t get a reservation and they have no food what are we supposed to eat? I settled on the smallest popcorn bucket for $6.
#3 customer service I have never seen a more disorganized event in my life. Customer service should be called no service because the answer from every single employee was “idk” or “not too sure what’s happening” a customer service person is supposed to be there to aid the customer in ALL questions or concerns or to get the right people to come and help, call for a manager, use the walkie talkies to communicate with other departments.
#4 Parking They had 3 big parking lots from my knowledge and were letting out 1 parking lot at a time but with only 1 exit that they were ALLOWING people to leave from we waiting over 2 HOURS to leave the parking lot. And once again every time we asked someone what is going on and why are we waiting so long “idk”
Overall fireworks and the light show were fun to see but honestly we could t enjoy our time as for being starving for the 2 hours we were inside the venue ontop of the 2 hours we waited in a parking lot to go home. Were a young couple in our 20’s but imagine a family with young children or elderly people trying to navigate this event not impressed

Read moreOur family gathered from all parts of Toronto to be here at 5:30p.m. so that we could have a nice birthday celebration for one of the members of our family. We were told the Races might be cancelled due to poor air quality and they would let us know within the next hour. Lets be clear, we didn't come here for dinner alone. We asked to speak to the manager and Stephanie came to speak to us. We asked her if we stayed and ate dinner, would there be any compensation for our disappointment. The little ones we had with us were really looking forward to seeing the horses run. She was quite abrupt with us and said there was no compensation if we ordered food an the races did not happen. She said that there was 80 per cent chance they would. So we decided to stay based on that information. After we got our food, they decided to shutdown the races out of concern for the horses. Sheridan our server (extraordinaire), said she spoke to the other manager on our behalf and Megan generously offered us free desserts since we were stuck. She then came over at my request and was very sympathetic towards us. She kindly asked us to return and gave us her card and personally invited us back and she would take good care of us. We really appreciated that level of consideration. We will return. Stephanie needs to brush up on her people skills. The...

I visited the racetrack on Saturday, May 18th with my 5-year-old son and 8-year-old niece to enjoy the horse races and kids' activities. Our experience was extremely disappointing.
At 8 PM, the line for face painting was over an hour long, so we skipped it. Then, we went to the outdoor BBQ area for food. After waiting in line for 35 minutes to order, we were rudely instructed to wait in another area behind a line of 50-60 people who had already paid and were also waiting for their food.
The situation quickly escalated as cashiers began yelling at customers. The manager eventually announced that they were out of food and were waiting for more from upstairs, despite having already taken and charged for our orders. There were an additional 60-70 people in line behind us. The manager claimed they had instructed the cashiers to stop taking orders, but this was not followed.
When I requested a refund, I was told it couldn't be processed without the manager's permission because I paid by Visa. With things going from bad to worse, I left without the food or a refund, losing $30.
Overall, it was a terrible experience, and I will definitely not...
