Fool me once... I've ordered from Burton Meats a few times now, and until more recently, they've delivered. Now, though, it seems things are going downhill. In my second last order, I ordered a brisket expecting to get, you know... a whole brisket. When it was delivered, though, I just got just the flat-the leaner half of a brisket. I called to see what was up and they informed me that if I need a whole brisket, I have to "specify that in the delivery instructions". Okay, fair. I have to go out and buy a full brisket somewhere else now, but fair. In my last order, again, I ordered a brisket (8lbs). I wanted the smallest they had, so I wrote in the instructions (like they told me to), "Need a whole brisket, please. A little smaller, a little bigger is okay. Happy to pay additional if need be." I assumed I'd get a call and wind up with something a little bigger, but no, I got half a brisket. Again. So, again, I called and notified them what had happened, and this time I was told I have to call them if I need something special. I followed their previous instructions. I paid the asking price. But still, somehow I'm in the wrong. Zero accountability with these people. Another thing, which I didn't even get around to asking them about was the "Elk French Style Chops" I ordered for $27. I've included and image of what they sent me. The site says they're between 9 and 11 ounces, so you'd think they'd send 2. They didn't. $27 for two bites of meat. What a joke. I ordered tje rack of lamb in January, it was spoiled, smelled so bad, the date on the package was past due by a few months. When I called the lady said she will add another rack of lamb to my order at no charge. When we placed another order, (all our orders are usually $250 -$270) the chicken drum sticks were spoiled, the smell was horrendous. When calling the guy that I was talking to was yelling at me, was mean,. Told him I will not order from them going forward. He was being very unprofessional, said he will credit the drumsticks back, which i never received. The lamb that they replaced, again it's spoiled, smells so bad. I will find another place to order from, turned off by the service and the smell. The driver Mike, always nice, He gives great customer service. As for the owners, maybe treat your customers with alittle respect, as I know sometimes spoiled meat is out of your control, at least be understanding to...

However the 3 negative reviews posted 2-3 months ago just didn't sit right with me. When you have a company that is so highly rated by ALL there customers...it is not fair that one disgruntled customer should feel empowered to post multiple complaints. I personally have never experienced a quality control issue with any of their products. Consistently, the exceptional product line quality and value is beyond reproach. As previously stated, I've never defended untoward comments post against a company, but in this instance I felt obligated to set the record straight.
