Really kind, warmhearted women working here and super friendly and welcoming. I thought it was my first visit, but it oddly felt like dejavu (one of the women even said the same). I took their recommendation for the popular schnitzel sandwich, asked for no pickles, and also ordered some wieners. Sadly, when I got home, there was a piece of brown hair taped under one flap of the sandwich wrap, and the sandwich had pickles and came on rye instead of a bun (I wasn’t asked for my preference). Lovely people, but for $18, I expected a bit more care and attention to detail.

Today was the second time I went in with my little one. Owners are very friendly and the selection of European packaged items is really nice to see and choose from. Welcoming as it is something different from the regular big stores. The loaf of bread that I bought is absolutely delicious! The Big Crunch of the crust and the soft pillowy crumb made a perfect sandwich. Love that there is also Landjäger and Ajvar from a selection of countries including Macedonia. If you grew up in a European household, this will surely bring back memories.

Charged tax on product that is tax free under the government tax break. I went back and was told sorry they are still charging tax because they had to pay it when they bought the product. I don't know if that is even legal to charge tax on non taxable items. You have now lost a customer and I will be letting my co workers know as well, as many of us buy lunch at your store.

Lived in the area for over 20 years and never stopped by here until today. WOW i've been missing out. This place is amazing and the staff is so sweet and helpful. I came in looking to try some sandwiches and there were so many options, I ended up just asked the staff member to make me 2 cold cut sandies as she though would be good. She made sure we could have pork, sauce with spice, and had no allergies to the veggies before making them, and she was so kind the entire time. So many times I've been to places any they can be rude or made you feel weird for just checking their place out and asking whats good, definitely not here, and for less then 20$ for two sandwiches while not begging for a tips all over the front and at checkout it made me want to leave extra $ for the first time in awhile. This is somewhere where you know your moneys going to a good place with good people working there and you're actually getting great stuff for it without being overcharged, kinda rare these days. Thomas Androvic is the most CHRISTIAN Man I have met in my life! I really enjoyed visiting him with my friend Daniel a couple years ago! He is a TRUE PILLAR of the Magyar and Catholic community in Durham and A TRUE LEADER who leads by actions, not words!

Also a FATHER of a wonderful family!

Very intelligent man as well!

Mr. Androvic, if you are reading this you definitely have a special place in my heart and you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers 100%!

All used to be very good! Was great food for years we went there, BUT 2 things have changed from very good to not so good in the last couple of months. Pogácsa - crackling scones used to be moist and very tasty / now dry and the taste is missing Töpörtyü - bacon bites used to be authentic good / now overdone and dry The problem with the töpörtyü is they cut the pieces too small lately, didn't used to before. The crackling has to have a fair size in order to cook properly, with lots of fat and time for the taste to cook in, not dry out. (Like small pieces do before they cook!) They sell it by the weight anyway, so why cut them up small and ruin the whole thing??
