Grenfell Catering — Local services in Ottawa

We couldn't be happier that we asked Grenfell Catering to cater a small wedding over the weekend for our mom. It was just a small dinner for nine, served table side at my sister's home, and they did the most incredible job.

From the start, Christine was responsive and more than willing to cater to our needs! The pricing was extremely reasonable, and, considering the food we received, more than fair. They arrived on time, they were quick to set up and help us with anything we needed. They were so quiet we barely noticed them there. The server they had was fantastic - always there to refill a glass or help in some way.

Christine worked with us to create the absolutely perfect menu. The portion sizes were perfect - more than enough for all of us, with some left overs. We started with an individual 'mini' charcuterie plate - which was full of different meats and cheeses, delicious compotes, olives and different breads. Our second course was a shrimp cocktail with a delicious, spicy sauce. Third course we had a cream of tomato soup with a mini grilled cheese (Gruyere) on the side (everyone's favourite!). Our final course was top sirloin with the creamiest (most delicious) mashed potatoes, grilled fall veggies and mushrooms - topped with maybe the best demi-glace we've ever had.

We really couldn't be happier with the service from Grenfell. Mark is an absolute wizard in the kitchen, Christine is so friendly and helpful. Their customer service is second to none and they make an incredible team together! The clean up at the end of the night was the cherry on top. They were fast, quiet and cleaned the entire kitchen before leaving for the night.

We will definitely be using them again in the future. My only regret is that we were so absorbed with eating, that we didn't take a single picture of the actual food - which was not only delicious, but beautifully presented.

I couldn’t be happier with the decision of hiring Grenfell Catering for our wedding!! Both Christine and Mark were a pleasure to work with from our first conversation, to seeing them and working with them on the day of. Throughout the process, there were a lot of emails back and forth and a lot of revisions that were made (including adding kids meals and a vegan meal almost last minute) and Christine was very accommodating and very quick to respond to every one.

We had a BBQ (served) buffet menu which included buttermilk fried chicken, bbq beef brisket, potato hash and mac and cheese. Everyone RAVED about the food - Everything came out and stayed piping hot. The fried chicken stayed crispy in the pans, the brisket was melt in your mouth and I think it was the best Mac and cheese I have ever had! The quantities were very plentiful as well!

Safety was a top priority for us and the team of servers and staff did a fantastic job by wearing gloves and masks the entire time. It was so comforting to be able to sit back and relax during dinner and not stress about food quality or food safety.

I would definitely hire Christine and Mark again for any event I was hosting!!

I found this little gem of a caterer after ravings from my partner on their lunch to go counter. He often grabs a bite from their selection of sandwiches, pasta salads and other lunch sides and loves it. We decided to try their "Take and Bake" options and we weren't disappointed. These huge trays of food are available frozen but don't take long to hear to perfection. The ribs are some of the best I've ever tasted in my life and the meat lovers lasagne is fabulous. I recently contacted them to cater to my family for my mothers 60th. Christine worked with me on our likes and dislikes and pulled a fantastic menu together on short notice. We ordered the chicken curry without bones, rice, roasted root vegetables (amazing!!), lasagne (of course!), Mac n cheese (creamy and cheesy), and a tray of desserts. My family LOVED it!! Christine and the talented team at Grenfell Catering really came through for me. I will most certainly be calling on their...
