Loved it! We went to see "Us" on a Thursday night and we were lucky enough to catch the last days of the theatre playing the movie, as Red Deer already stopped. It was my first time going to a theatre that wasn't cineplex so it made for a really cool experience. We just had dinner before so we only got drinks and candy and the whole experience was probably half the price we would pay as a party of four at cineplex (20$ for food?! Amazing!) The seats were crazy comfy, the theatre is an older building so I was king of expecting it to not be as good but i'd say it was the comfiest theatre I've ever sat in. As it was a late night weekday showing for a movie that had been in theatres for awhile we had it all to ourselves. Read moreI went to the Ponoka Theater last week for the first time and I was impressed. I’ve been in a lot of big city movie theaters, but I like small quaint ones in small towns because it feels more like a real movie theatre experience from the old days. Friendly people, clean and nicely laid out. I was only in one of the two theatres so I can only speak for the one I was in, but it was a good size with really good sound. And they use real butter! My only concern was how small the bathroom stalls were, hard to maneuver. But otherwise it was a very positive experience. I highly recommend them....
